isnt it automatic loss for 6 months for over 140km/h anywhere, plus the 6 points loss and over 40kp/h is 6 months as well!

unlucky dude, but this will go to court anyway i would think.. then it's up to the judge!

seriously you got no chance, beter make up a story get a few witnesses and go to court, its your best bet, and also fork out some money for a good barister about 5 grand and you should be able to get off with a fine.

read it and weep my friend (keep in mind that once you exceed 130kph regardless of speed limit, there is not set disqualification and penalty. The judge will deal with it as he see's fit).....

 More than 45 km/h

6 months (minimum)

and manwhor3 - what possible justification could you have for doing 140 in a 70 zone?? that is just absolutely ridiculous... if you do that, i HOPE that you get caught.

Got done doing 140 in Homebush Bay Dve on saturday nite...

6 Point and $1559...

Anyone know what kind of suspension this atracts?

the amount of cops on sat night was unbelievable

on the M5 between bexley north and king georges rd, they set up a massive RBT unit with round 10 cop cars lining the M5 over 1km.

the result, a truck stop that was transformed in a parking lot with people caught waiting to get towed.

i passed it a 1am, my girlfried passed it at 5am, they were still there.

come on, give the bloke a break.

Seriously fellars, the track is great for going a bit fast, but it's sorta hard on a uni student budget.

Are you serious? so being a uni student and being poor is supposed to justify driving double the speed limit on a public road?

its like that every saturday night from about mid night till morning, usually waiting for those people who think they can drink and drive from the city home.

not that this is gonna help but my friend actually got done doing 100 in a 50 zone.. according to the rta he should have had his license suspended. However there was no proof that he was actually doing it.. as in the cops didn't provide anything so he got the $1500 fine the points but no suspension of license?!?

Bad luck man but was pretty silly you must admit, still in crazy mode from friday night ehh...although i doubt anyone here can say they havent done it before like *cough friday night cough* you will learn your lesson though dude jsut the hard way..lucky you didnt lose control or hit anything....things can always be worse. I learnt just how stupid drink driving was the hard way and rolled my last car a vn commodore..i was the only one in the car and it was late at night with noone around so noone was hurt..things can always be worse, since i havent even looked at a drop of alcohol if im driving within the next 8 hours,im sure you will now never even think about going over speed limit...its just not worth it.

Thats my 2c dude btw i was VERY lucky to only get 6 months suspension and believe me you spend that time riding your bike thinking f%^k breaking the law again!

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
