lol, I agree, in an auto it is usually better to go for a larger turbo though as the revs are nearly always into the boost area. If you go too big, just open the converter a bit. They need to be matched, just like a turbo to the capacity of an engine. You will loose a little power running off the stall,(20-30kw or so) and a little less fuel efficient, but who cares. :)

If I can organise a decent lockup clutch I will perhaps have it unlocked in 1st and lock it up into 2nd and leave it locked through the rest of the gears. It shifts fine with the clutch locked.

im sorry ive read what you said about 10 times and fail to understand what your talking about

If you are referring to my posts, unfortunately scotty's dyno chart pic didn't come with the relevant quote but it is worth going back and having a look at how much more average power the stocker made under 6000rpm. Assuming the turbo has reasonable lifespan and doesn't shit itself that looks a pretty outstanding result for everyday use.

As usual a dyno doesn't really tell you how it will feel on the road as there are other variables. The RB25 powered stageas (manuals) are a much better drive with 400-450 hp turbos compared to going up to 500-550hp turbos due to their weight for day to day driving IMO. An R33 lugging less weight around isn't hampered anywhere near as much.

Autos change the game, if you make enough power who cares if you lose a bit to the converter.

My thoughts exactly. And I feel our barges need a fair bit of poke just to match the lighter skylines, WRX, evo.

I drove a stock Liberty STI today, it seemed to be much quicker than mine. I know it wasnt but it seemed to push me into the seat a lot more than mine ever did at 300. The extra weight in mine somehow aids traction too. It all seems very backward. I wasn't very impressed with the handling and ride quality though, mine feels much more refined. Glad I went the BC's.

Got invited to go to a FordLaser.com Dyno Day, just for the hell of it i went :P

For a Stock Engine, only got a 3" Turbo back system

(dunno how to put an image in yet, so theres the Link to a image of the Report)

nice thumbsup.gif but are you sure you don't have a chipped ecu or something controlling fuel. not that there is anything wrong with the afr's, in fact they are probably too good under load for the stock ecu, you only just hit 11.5-11.4 under full load, every RB engine i've seen still running the stock ecu goes well into the 10's and some times even lower.

Cheers, As far as i know its all Stock. only the 3" Turbo back i did, How can i find out if i got a chipped ECU?

Picked my Stagea up from Blacktrack Performance at Thornton today and I am very happy with the results!!

Car is running 19PSI of boost to make 415BHP.

I cant beleive how bloody quick it is. I gotta get this beast on a race track ASAP!!

Have a look at the outside (its in the panel to the left of the passenger's feet) - it may have a sticker on the outside (Mines, Tomei). If not it gets harder - open it up to see if it has been modified - probably need a stocker or photo of one to compare it with. Or of youhave an ecutalk cable or similar you might be able to get the information through the consult port.

Or look at the wires going into the ecu plug to see if any piggybacks have been connected.

Yeah, 260RS's are a good thing a good proven platform to begin with (R33 GTR). Its just a shame its a 12 year old car. I really like that style of car (260RS), but it would be nice if it was a fair bit newer. I have NEVER seen one of the newer Stagea's before.

I am VERY happy with the horse power. Its bloody fast! I need to meet some of you guys one day. Let me know if you guys are up for a Putty road drive one day and i will come down to Windsor and cruise back up with ya's. Mid week is also good for me if any of you are shift workers (plus there is no Police during the week).

The boost is a little lazy to my eye so I reckon there is a chance that a little more pre-load on the actuators might bring it on a little earlier. What boost control are you using?

Mmm Putty drive. A shame the half way house burnt down and they frigged around with the speed limits.

I am using a Turbosmart e-boost2. Left all the tuning up to Blacktrack performance so I dont really know exactely what they did to the car.

Halfwayhouse is open again. I am goin down to Kurrajong on Friday so will check for sure. Yeah, they stuffed some of the speed limits. But I did the Putty up to three times in a week in my 99 SSS pulsar when I got my new job in the Mines before my missus moved up and I have rarely seen a cop on it. they only give it a floggin on sundays when all the city boys on their Yamaha R1's wrap emselves around trees...

Ok, last time I checked the half way house was still shut....might have been October last year.

We used to make a Sunday morning drive up there then home by 11 or so. A buck ten the max speed which means the R1's hammer past you but still a fun drive and pleasant morning.

I would have a good look at the actuators/boost control next time you have it near a dyno. There might be a bit more life mid range to be had there. Peak won't change but who cares eh.

I might be up for a weekday Putty run  used to do it regularly on my Bike before the demise of the Halfway House. Mondays & Fridays are my best days.

I've got a GSXR1000; no stupid R1 here...:whistling:

Nope, Stock as a rock!!

I got excited hoping something was there. but there aint!

    • I'm selling my personal race car. 1992 BNR32 Skyline GT-R About eight years ago the engine developed the dreaded low oil pressure problem. I removed it and found the issue. However shortly after I moved half way across the country, moved my work shop, bought a house, got married, then moved my shop again to it's permanent location for the time being. in turn I do not have the time to race this car as it should be. In turn the engine I built for this car will end up in my street car and this car I hope finds a home with someone who can use it to it's full potential. The roll bar was built by Jason Noren Fabricaiton in Pomona California to SCCA and NASA Specs. The car used to compete in redline time attack and global time attack enthusiast class. It also has a fire suppression system.  The car is with me at my workshop in Kyle Texas, USA. Shipping it is no problem, I can personally deliver the car to the port of either Houston or Los Angeles. Any other port depending on where it is may require transport but we can always work that out.   The chassis itself is rust free, rear quarters and under fenders are free of any rust so it's a very solid foundation for anyone who wishes to move forward with it. As posted and at the asking price of $20,000 USD the car includes all of the following;   All OEM Body panels, front fenders, rear bumpers etc.  OEM Nissan Projector headlamps (Pictured N1 lamps were removed) OEM Nismo Side Skirts / Extensions OEM Rear Spats  Front & Rear Subframes are installed car is full roller Rear Subframe has Cusco Camber Arms, Whiteline HICAS Elimination Front Subframe has Whiteline tension rods and whiteline Sway bars w/ endlinks.  Buddy Club N1 Coilovers All chassis wiring and engine wiring is in tact. Attessa System is fully in tact and was functional before engine removal.  BCNR33 GT-R Brembo Brakes F+R with Endless MX72 Plus Pads, DBA Rotors & Stainless Steel Brake lines Billion Racing Radiator Billion Radiator Hoses Fluidyne Engine Oil Cooler Accusump System (trunk Mounted) 5 Speed Transmission w/ Transfer Case F+R Prop-shafts Rear Differential With rear Axles.  Nismo Gauge Cluster Nismo Clutch + Flywheel   Essentially what is needed to make this car running and driving again is as follows: A working Engine, an ECU, and time to put it together. The price posted is or best offer as I am willing to remove some components to accommodate price to a certain extent. If any serious buyer wants full detailed pictures, videos, or any questions I'll be happy to answer them. I believe this car is priced to move quickly considering it's a rust free and very straight chassis but always open to fair negotiation.  I can be contacted via phone or email. • So...to my (and my mechanics doing the swap) surprise...the oil pan from NEO engine does not fit 100% and needs to by modified like this: It is not a huge problem but in the future i want a "proper" oil pan. So question is...what different oil pan can i get to fit without any problems and modification? Thanks!
    • Some more info I found.  These are the last entries Yoshikiyo Fujii made on his blog before he passed away in 2009: http://blog.livedoor.jp/fujii_dynamics/ And finally this is where the workshop was situated:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/HhTPtHzt3WVcBTiEA
    • shit boxes, kids, and daily drivers are all welcome
