my parents have just got back from a trip in Brissie..they saw 3 stageas in 2 days, 1 white stock s1 dark green they were unsure of what series as it flew past them and a bright yellow s2....i think secretly my folks are falling more for them lol ;)

Spotted a few days ago: 1 black s1 in Queenscliff/Manly in a carport with an Envy Imports sticker on the rear window. Only saw it from the rear.

Spotted today: silver (can't recall S1/S2) plate: ST46EA in Manly, right near the wharf. I was on foot (just getting a lift to the airport), so I didn't bother waving like a loon

I just spent the long weekend in Perth, and didn't see any of you W.A. mob. You all must have been hiding under a rock while I was there...

charming!!!! You should have let us know so I could unleash "Pulsar Fury" LOL!

spotted a stag this morning along paterson road. not sure on what series as I was spying it from my rear view mirror and not sure on colour as the combination of my polarized sunglasses and tint make things look multicoloured lol

You turned off down the road that takes you to kwinana beach (lived here for so long and still don't know the street names lol)

yeh would have been me,i have a yard in kwinana beach and medina, spotted you the first time at rockingham/patterson rd and thomas lights...might i add your stag looks verrry nice with black paint and white rims....

Spotted a Stagea-less jebud (aka Adam) at Dural today @ 12.30pm.

His s1 got written off by a taxi driver, and he showed me some photos of the wreck. The front driver's side is stuffed, both airbags went off, front driver's side tyre popped in the impact, etc. He had to get the photos developed because his computer, internet and email are stuffed, so unfortunately he can't post the photos up as yet, but he is going to try and sort that out soon.

crap! They're falling almost as fast as the newbies are joining. Could this be nature's way of controlling the population? I hate to see car crashes. It's how my old man went... What is it with Nissan wagons?

Spotted a silver s1 with polished wheels (at least, I hope they weren't those awful Chromies :) ) on Friday afternoon crossing my path on either Windsor Road in Parramatta/Northmead or Old Windsor Road in Seven Hills (I can't remember exactly where I was when I saw it).

    • I hadn't thought about the variable power steering assist. Presumably, it will always be the same level of assist as you get in an S14. The R32/3/4 are either helliishly heavy (at low speeds) if the solenoid is not powered at all, or hellishly too light (at high speed) if it is powered all the time. I presume that it is PWM controlled on those cars. I hadn't thought about the S cars not having variable assist. ugh. What crappy plebby cars they must be!
    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
    • I'd say it's a fair bet that the feed and return fluid lines will be in different enough spots that you would need to come up with a way to cut the originals short and adapt with new hard line adaption or braided teflon hoses or somesuch. But really, you have the car, you have the photos of the DMAX rack - you should be able to go out there and see for yourself whether they're in the same or different spots.
    • I've been doing some looking around and honestly was just considering throwing a new rack at it. I saw that the dmax silvia rack bolts up into the 33 with the silvia bushings but not sure if the high pressure lines will sit in the correct spot. I believe other version of the 33 rack are the same/similar to the racks that can be opened up without as much fuss so I assume the dmax rack would fit but any ideas?
    • I've never played with one, but I would expect that you are correct. That slot looks like it is intended to be used to unscrew the end, and the flats on the body would be better than grabbing it around the round bit with a pipe wrench. So, yeah, probably unscrews. You'll probably have to make a tool to drive in that slot.
