I'm in Dee Why. . .

haha small world. I used to have a s1 C34 stagea - silver been driving it around dee why for the last few years, and just picked up the M35 2 weeks ago. Loving it, but have a few bits going on over the next two weeks to make it a little nicer

Ill keep an eye out for your Axis

spotted a Silver ARX with Axis kit and wheels on condamine and pittwater road last week. (manlyvale - brookie)

Drove beside and behind for a good 1-2km in my Blue M35 with aero kit, but I dont think they saw me...

It could have been me, no Axis kit but lowered and with wheels that look like the Axis wheel.

Maybe - it had colour coded skirts, wheel arches etc like an Axis. I didnt see the front so Im not sure if it had the grille too!

Man how many M35's are on the beaches? lol I only ever see one regularly - a silver one parked on pittwater road in manly.

Not me then.

I spotted a silver ARX with a volvo driving soccer mum behind the wheel in pittwater rd gladesville this morning.

also heard the lovely zorst note from nick's car this arvo

OMG, I spotted you today, Duncan, but you were in the cursed Zed and not the LOLvo.

Spotted a white/grey s1 on the road that goes between Warrego Hwy and Gatton/Esk (dont know the name of it) on Saturday afternoon/evening.

I flashed my lights a bit but didn't get a response...disappointed. Maybe they thought it was some volvo fan who was mistaken.

Was weird seeing a stagea in such a remote place, what are the chances?

spotted silver S1 between reedy ck caltex and mudgeerabah along M1 heading north at around 5:20pm. waves exchanged. Mine must of looked like a pig compared to yours all shiny.... i need to wash it BAAAAAAAAD. Nice ride mate.

Jez

definitely silver. bum was shaved of badges too. he pulled off at the first mudgeerabah exit i am sure. that was this afternoon heading north.

i overtook him, then he overtook me, then i overtook him again. all legally if anyone is watching.

Mudgeeraba is becoming stag central: 2 days ago, I saw a stocko S1 (silver) parked at the bottle-o, Also White Stag's white S1 Dayz was parked out the front of the bottle-o, 300m further on, there was a red S1 driving towards me with big shiny wheels, and about another 500m after that, there was a silver S1 fthat seems to belong to the owner/staff of the pool shop at the Tallai shops... All in the space of about 90 seconds! And that doesn't include mine, which is normally in the driveway....

My 'hood is getting crowded!

Seen another yellow Days S2 yesterday (Dont think is was Jez?) and a silver/grey with big fmic, all in gavan/helensvale area.

Nope, not me ! I have seen one very similar to mine, but he had shaved badges rear and no dish/many spoke rims.

The other yellows i have seen look like fourbies :domokun:

Still have not once, ever, never spotted an M35. They must hide...... :D

Sounds like a great base to hold a Stag Meet. Shell servo + hungry jacks. Plenty of parking at the fields. Plenty of directions to head off for a cruise !

Sounds good to me: that's about 1-2mins from my front door  GreenGhost was talking about a morning cruise to Byron, finishing up at his place (Southport) for a bbq. will start putting it together shortly: there's quite a few of us on the 'coast now...

I'm up for a good drive, just replaced O2 sensor and would like to see hwy mpg. (300km/tank around town!)

Jez: Mine must be the 4WD looking one!!! dents in all doors, front bar hanging and wrong offset wheels!!!

yes it is!

forgot to mention i spotted a gold M35 ARX (some sort of 'king' ) while i was going along victoria road yesterday morning....

finally got spotted

woohoooooooooooooooooooooooooo

ffffffffffinnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
