Apparently the prefered choice of Getaway car, it was used in an armed robbery

The news only knows it as a "Silver Nissan" guess it confuses people otherwise

Belong to anyone on here?

To be fair, getting the Nissan part is better than most :P

Not an SAUSA member/regular contributor but it was posted in the SA section http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/361904-nissan-stagea-m35-stolen/

Hi Daleo, that would be me! What is it with P platers in commodores that sit in the outside lane? His missus gave me an earful as I went past them at the macca's intersection, I couldn't be bothered advising her that if hubby was not in the overtaking lane they wouldn't have been undercut by 2 Stags! What were they thinking? Car looks and sounds nice by the way, I am at the other end of the mountains. It was coincidence when you first went past, I was just showing a mate my (4 week old to me) new car and explained what an M35 was and as I looked up, there you were and I said they look just like that black one there! Bound to see you on the GWH car park again!

Regards Craig

Lol, hey Craig!

Spotted you pulling onto the M4 at Penrith, thought it was the same one as this morning, had to catch up to make sure.whistling.gif

Up at the top lights at Blaxland, I enticed him into the Left lane, and then got him blocked in by a truck .nyaanyaa.gifWhat a bad guy...

Thanks mate, it's filthy at the moment, thought I'd give you a listen to the Fujitsubo goodness... Yours looks good too mate, very clean, hope you've got some mods planned?

I saw you do the double take as I drove through Faulconbridge, I was thinking "That's an nice Stagea, ooh, theres the owner!" as I nearly broke my elbow on the armrest, trying to wave out the window...pinch.gif

I'll keep an eye out for you mate, I'm just up behind the Ugg Boot man.

Cheers, Dale.

Spotted a white RS2 Dayz with the plate YAB XXX on it....

Anyone here?

I was driving the old Mazda truck filled with junk  right next to ya

That was me :action-smiley-069:. Sorry didn't spot you back. :whistling: Would have been on my way to or back from Moorabin airport for my Trial Helicopter Flight (ps, anyone whose thinking about doing it, DO IT, amazing experience).

scotty.. about $300 for a 25 min flight.. you progressivly get handed over the controlls until you are flying the chopper.. i did it about 3 mts ago.. im saving to do it again. most fun youll ever have.. especially when you go out to the coast and follow the coast line. WOW!!

Sounds like fun, whats it cost?

Trick is to book it direct and not through a coupon type website (ie, redballoon). Unfortunately we made that mistake an found out on the day that I would have had a longer flight and paid less if i booked it directly through the company. Company we did it with was Professional Helicopter Services. great day out and they literally have you flying in minutes.

Also keep spotting the same Silver S1C34 on Spencer street in the mornings. Green P's, Also spotted a blue M35 on Spencer St near GTA Motors a couple of times.

    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
    • Those comp test results are not hideous. Whether they are accurate or not (ie, when that comp tester says 140 psi, is the real pressure120, 140 or 160?) is unknown to us. The state of the battery used to crank it over is unknown, etc etc. Many people around here would say that the absolute values and the spread are perfectly fine to just add boost and keep going. I personally would be happier with a narrower spread than that, but even the diff between 125 and 145 is not terrible. That one cylinder at 125 though, has probably copped some damage relative to the others. You should inspect the valves seeing as you've got it open. Do you know how to measure installed ring gaps? That, and an inspection of the rings themselves, is how you will determine whether they need to be replaced. If you're not good to do these things, take the block and the pistons and rings to a shop that is, and ask them for the go/no-go on them. Do the bores need a hone at all? If so, you might well be justified in getting some different pistons in order to get away from the ring supply problem. Whether you're happy to spend a lot more money right now, on more gear, rather than less money, but an amount that looks stupid given that you will only get a handful of rings in exchange for that money, is for you to decide.
    • also possibly backed up to my filler and shat down it! 🤣
    • Ok so i would love some advice here please, i purchased an R33 a few months back and its had a few mods done to the engine, its an RB25det running a Master ECU, 1200cc injectors, bigger turbo, oil cooler, oil filter relocation kit, Spool H-beam rods, acl/ross pistons. When i removed the motor from the vehicle (as its getting a respray) i thought i would compression test it and these are the following results. Cylinder 1-145psi, Cylinder 2-143psi, Cylinder 3-125psi, Cylinder 4-145psi, Cylinder 5-140psi, Cylinder 6-135psi this test was done with the motor on the ground and powering up the starter motor. I dropped the sump and found broken oil squirters on cylinder 3,5 and 6. I was told my rings are probably worn so i stripped the motor completely to get a new set of rings for it. The trouble is no one has these rings anywhere and they have to be custom made by Ross over in the states and will cost about $600+$200 delivery. My question is how can i tell if my rings are at fault and if they are still ok and is this price ok for a set of rings?
