All this talk..

oh wait...

no action :P

j/k

:bonk: ... i take back all those nice things i was saying about your car. All i have is talk, i dont even own a car, dont you think its funny that noone in Victoria has ever seen my car:(

I shoudl be good to go for Phillip Island on 13/14th November. Waiting to hear back re-vacant positions.

Yeh it was a great day, it was great to get some sun:)

LOL, highlight of the day was the last few laps with Gareth giving the R33s some curry drifting onto the straight each time. I was handling not being out there until i saw his R32 tearing it up:thumbsup:

I'm spewing, i helped him bleed his brakes (for the third time) then headed home before the final session and missed it. I'd already turned a lovely shade of pink so hadda piss off before i went completely lobster!

Good day though, and great turnout, on the non-Skyline front I'd have to say the Ferrari 355 going down main straight and sounding for all the world like a F1 was a big highlight.

Yep - semi's are cheater tyres. Also - several of those guys were running cheater turbo's.

Look at the biggest cheater of them all however - he also has cheater brakes, cheater bonnet, cheater wing, even cheater fuel!

But god dammit - I hope one day I can cheat as good as he does. :D

Just off the topic (a bit) but incidentally, was on my way to work this morning, loud, low, no front plate.

Police drive by slowly in traffic, look at the car, look at the front and no plate, look at me, keep going  see what happens when they see a guy wearing a suit?

If I'd been wearing my weekend get abouts, I bet the sirens would be on and I'd been taken down

How do you figure:confused:

:D Your just making excuses beacause it pulled away after you :cough: let him pass:)

I waved him past me on first corner when i was half on the grass and trying to get back into 3rd gear while doing 60km/h. You can ask him if ya dont believe me :(

He was in the 1.35's also most of the day like me.

Where do we find the offical times on the net?

Apparently he put down a 1.31 in the final session.

Hey Marcus,

Do you live around Richmond?  I see your car up and down Vic St a fair bit

I live in Camberwell, and drive down Vic street to work every morning (work in the city :D) where's the wave / honk? what are you driving?

followed you down on the SE Arterial on Sunday morning

Umm... was I behaving myself or being an ass? I have an explanation for that if I was an ass - some clown was tailgating my mate who was following in a red 206, so we played with them all the way to the springvale rd exit... poor bugger... didn't know what was going on!

That, my friend, is the quote of the day.

It's good to see you in good spirits mate.

Look im not fussed anymore, stressing about it aint going to change what happened. There is always tomorrow.

BUT you my friend, you take the champion of the week award, driving down the pits with the ciggie hanging out your mouth like the champion athlete you are:thumbsup:

Then when the cookie crumbed you seemed to be in pretty good spirits considering. Hope it all comes together for you.:D

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
