hahaha plans enough!

I'm heading down the coast tomorrow morning, bloody hoping the weather does turn to absolute shit....hoping to stay the night down there for a second day on the beach Sunday but if it rains I'll probs just come back Saturday night.

Have shit to do on the car anyway! Fark.

I dare someone to use this upgrade kit:

For $800 it must be top shelf

Turbo, bov, wastegate, fuel reg, boost controller, turbo timer, ect ect..... the wagers will be on how many minutes till she blows.

Where abouts at the coast Princess? And why do you want the weather to turn to shit

I have my Xmas party tomorrow night... just bought a purple clutch to match my purple shoes... COORDINATION :D

I assume a few SAUers are going to the Xmas catch up tomorrow?

Narooma, and WHOOPS typo - DON'T want it to turn to shit. lol.

Hey hey!

I've been to the beach pretty much every day for the past two weeks :) you poor canberra folk having to drive so far for the beach!

Good luck with the weather troy, I do hope the water is a bit warmer there than here,

shell you should wear your petty new matching clutch as ear rings so you can show everyone how it matches your shoes!

Good to hear

It's still kinda warm but just rain, rain and rain.

Where was the house?

Was just cloudy before, now she is just rains.

At least you have different walls and oceans smells / sounds.

House was in South Pacific Estate, Martin Avenue. Nearest Beach was Racecourse Beach, only a 5 min walk...

Twas Awesome!!!

Looks like some flamin mongrel in a white car has swiped my van's front-right guard while parking or reversing out next to me at some point in the last couple of days....noticed yesterday arvo some nice damage :( here's hoping that A) it happened in the carpark right outside my gym; and B) the security footage for the entrance to the gym from that carpark can see my car (and prospectively a white car bailing from beside me).

Either that or it has happened while being parked in the driveway at home and it was the neighbours with their absolutely shocking condition Camry. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it were them, though I doubt I'll see that car in their driveway for a little while nor would I expect to see any orange paint on it when it returns :(

le sigh.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
