There was a Canberra based transport company I used to have my R33 brought down from Ipswitch, though I can't for the life of me remember their name since the seller organised everything :( it cost ~$500 or maybe a touch more, doorstep to doorstep delivery, and short of the car rocking up absolutely filthy (dust and rain can't be helped) I was quite impressed with the way they handled the car.

Remember !!! hahaa

Picking up a 34 are we???

Umm might be ! It's looking more realstic than not. It's bog stock though - looks bog stock too :( However, if it'll pass pits then I'm cheering and the cosmetics come out :3

I think bog stock is the way to go. Sure it might cost a bit more, but that warm fuzzy feeling when you look and the pride and joy you've created is totally worth it :D

It was you ! it took me an hour to find out the person who had that type of sig (The skyline). Where did you create it? :D

Also, You're right... I'm sure creating my own project and finishing it will create some pride and joy however the money side of it.. The rims I want are $5k :( haha thinking letting someone else spend that money and then sell the car with the rims is worth it :P

Haha, theres this whole big online game thing called Pixel Cars or something.. I dont actually play the game but I like the pictures. I basically just did this myself using photoshop. Started off with a r33 and changed it to resemble my car. Had to create an account so that I could view the base pictures. If you want I can send you the link to the car you want so you dont have to go through the whole process

And no dodgy crap to fix from idiot modifiers.

Just looking at bits n pieces for my Skyline this morning and I don't know if this point is in the front of the minds of others when buying parts for your Skyline.

Looking at JJR + Kudos pricing, then RHD and Nengun.

Firstly JJR / Kudos - The prices are pretty static for the first two shops. Meaning their generally premium prices. This may be because they bought up big way back when. Both shops have great service and delivery is generally within a week. So if you want it now and are prepared to pay premium - best way to go.

RHD / Nengun - Seem better BUT when you add freight, 2-3 week wait time and potential warranty issues, there is very little difference.

These 4 shops only have what is on their catalogue.

However dealing with Marcus (Elrodeo666) and/or Jesse Streeter - the prices are ALOT less. This is because they get current prices from the manufacturers direct, they have personal relationships with the distributors (they know guys) and they apply the latest Aud to Yen prices, but the wait time is around 2-3 weeks. Also and it hasn't happened yet but may also have warranty issues.

So if you can wait 2-3 weeks I'd recommend one these guys. Plus they hunt parts down for you.

If you want it in a week then JJR or Kudos.

Eg: the NISMO twin plate clutch I was after. In Aus $2420 + Delivery. From one of the guys above $1700 delivered.

And lastly if your prepared to wait longer - then ship from Japan by SAL or SEA for an even bigger saving !!

Go pick it up Jeremy i picked up my car from compliance this time last year. Flew to Melbourne mate took me to Dandenong and i picked up the beast. It was a good drive being the first skyline i had ever drove never slept a bit.

Yeah, only problem is that it comes with parts :( gotta sort all dis out. Haha

Soo keen. Went to buy it today - but the guy stopped replying after agreed price etc. I said "alright - happy too etc" no reply...

Yeah - gotta cart - Front GTR bumper (not going to take it if it's the dodgy brand), stock exhaust, stock intercooler, stock pod filter, 4x stock wheels.

The old man is happy to go down - but he cannot go down until 3 weeks away. I can fly / bus it down and drive back - but it's the parts that's worrying me.

Tetris... 2 wheels in the boot, 2 on the back seat, Intercooler + pod = passenger footwell, Unbolt Exhaust and put in boot, Front bar on backseat or from back driverside to passenger front. Easy...

You Need to Move House more... hahahahaha

So.. want to come to VIC? hahaha

Man, I have moved 13 times in my life. Never packed a box :D !

So, "bought" the car today. Just gotta get down there and pick it up. He didn't want a deposit so I'm hoping that doesn't mean he is going for the next best price. He is a nice bloke but who knows.

Works in your favour - you get to walk around it, check it in the flesh, take it for a drive etc...

Best way to go.

True. The inspection came back immaculate. The inspector has never seen a cleaner one in his career for R34 GTT's for its year etc ('98). there is nothing wrong with it bare tyres and break pads. So it turned out really well.

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG is has not responded to my emails so far after purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
