Manuel Kasko
So I been thinking about what plates I should get on the R34 Came up with a combo that seems to be available and i believe it would be cheap. YLD 34R The question is, does 34R seem like something only a GTR should have? Manuel Kasko
why not YLD 34T? Probably a better choice if the YLD 34R sounds too GTR style. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/54460-the-wasteland-act-style/page/463/#findComment-7327009 Share on other sites

Anfanee
OR You could use the extra moneys from NZ to buy a GTR. You know you want to. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/54460-the-wasteland-act-style/page/463/#findComment-7327017 Share on other sites
Manuel Kasko
Haha nope I don't want to. GTR has nearly 2x the things to fix if they break. I'll stick with my single turbo rear wheel drive. Manuel Kasko
But I will go for YLD 34TJust checked and it's available at the moment. It's also the standard format so it should be really cheap Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/54460-the-wasteland-act-style/page/463/#findComment-7327027 Share on other sites

D.I.Y. Mik
34T is perfect, nice one. Im getting some new plates too, same letters black and white plastic, slim front. It was the cheapest option. But still will look ok. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/54460-the-wasteland-act-style/page/463/#findComment-7327044 Share on other sites

But still will look ok. Yeah I always liked my black and white plates. Sucks that they were not issued by ACT and were the reason behind my defect Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/54460-the-wasteland-act-style/page/463/#findComment-7327056 Share on other sites
Got a Pulsar
Those plates may not be as cheap as you think. I'm pretty sure if you want standard issue plates that are not in sequence, they will cost around the $450 mark. eg. I was looking at getting YKS-33R for the 4door and that was the approx quoted price. Shell
Yeah definitely the 'T'. The R essentially means nothing on your model car, so it's a bit silly Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/54460-the-wasteland-act-style/page/463/#findComment-7327321 Share on other sites
Manuel Kasko
I'll suss out costs when I get back but I thought it would be cheap because I was sticking to the normal ACT format of 3 letters, 2 numbers and a letter. I saw someone had the plates YLD 18O as well recently. D.I.Y. Mik
Id think $500 is about what that costs. $2500 for custom. The price goes up quite quickly. When i was there (belco) it was cheapest to get the same plate re-made ($160). A new number costs more because of the paperwork. Plastic isnt any more expensive, its when you want custom letters the price gets crazy. So... polishing pads alll cost about the same $20-$25, some real nice ones are $40. Thing is you can get a professional one for $22 which lasts for ages, or a bit of mattress foam at Supercheap for $25 which will sht itself very quickly. Manuel Kasko
I wonder if I can save money because it's going to be the first time it's registered in the ACT. If it costs around $400 then I won't bother and I'll spend the money on more important things Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/54460-the-wasteland-act-style/page/463/#findComment-7327545 Share on other sites
