whos the dude on here who just got a GTRS tuned on a 33? he got i think just over 250rwkw on 1bar, so i think there should definitly be more in it with more boost, which would put it quite ahead of the 2530- which is a good solid street turbo, which can only be faulted for running out of a bit of puff at the very top end.

For the price of the GTRS's at the moment they are a steal.

There seems to be lots of support for the 30xx series, looking at dyno runs the power looks like a light switch (i even think the 2835 looks to come on pretty hard) are these really good for the street? surely 3rd gear would bag street tyres just coming onto boost, let alone trying to accelerate hard in 1st or 2nd? Sounds like fun, but frustrating when lesser powered cars beat you to 100!

I have a 2835proS on the way at the moment. Going to have to run R-compounds full time, as the 2530 already fries tyres with its paltry 220rwkw! :)

building a RB25DET with a TD06-25G, nice laggy turbo with good topend power, and a misfiring system to keep the turbo spooling while I'm off the throttle. The one that I've bought is a metal sleeve thingamajiggy (can't remember the name) so its not steel bearing or ceramic, and can withstand a lil bit more punishment than a standard turbo.

As a standard swap/upgrade for a R33 RB25DET i'd say get a 2530, but I dunno how they react to RB25DET Neo's.

Funky you have been talking about this setup for about 1 year now, when the hell will you get all these antilag thingamergiggies done?

Is the 2835pro s going to fit on the stock manifold without modifications?

As for traction, good tyres and decent suspension setup helps alot!!!

i hope so! i think it all bolts up. Kit comes with its own dump and all the lines. I think the one thing ill need is a new intake pipe as the compressor inlet mouth looks big, but im fairly sure its a blot on kit.

can someone with ~280rwkw comment on drivability? are these cars still fast at speeds below 100 or is it just wheelspin city?

While i love power, it makes you slower if you cant get it down!

Damn impressive resutls...are you sure it was only 13psi:confused: I have read of those sorts of power figures at 1.3bar. Is it a std RB25:

No its not standard. I dont know what has been done other than bigger cams, injectors, external wastegate, it was a import this is how it came. It was dynoed by Brad Sherriff in Tassie.

    • That looks good, but I think you're going to need much beefier side skirts now.
    • They are daft and there's a reason it never caught on. Steering feel? We don't need no stinking steering feel!
    • I gotta pull you up on this. It's driving me crazy. A shutter is something that closes, like over a window or in a cmera. The word you want is shudder. That LSD is clearly f**ked. Take it to a diff shop and get it disassembled and examined by an expert. YOu might have plates welded together or something equally crazy.
    • Define "starting to fail". Wy not just rebuild them?
    • Check the Nistune doco. There are a few assumptions being made here that might not be valid. I will list the things that occur to me: Base map. Base map for what? Base map for Z32? Then the cranking pulse width is probably wrong for an RB25. The extra 500cc of capacity might well be enough to prevent it from catching. Base map for RB25? I don't think you can load one of those into a Z32. You have to just make the settings correct for an RB25 in the Z32 base map. That is either K or the TIM to get the pulsewidth right. Loom. You bought a loom for an RB. And you plugged it into a Z32 ECU. Did you make sure that any iwre differences were swapped. From memory, there's at least a couple. And as per the others, I would suggest making sure that the fuel pressure is correct while cranking and that the injectors are actually flowing as expected. They really must come out and go on the bench, unless you do find that you have messed up as per above points. I would also suggest watching in Nistune to make sure that everything is reading correctly. That the correct binary flags are raised at the right time (like the crank signal), that there's no stupid values in K or TIM. That you have not got mismatched firmware for the ECU and/or a wrong image loaded.
