And it was a good meet, thanx to all who came, it was highly beneficial, we are on the verge of something [besides insanity] happening at Laurel Hill now.

.....sorry Trident -actually I do wear glasses, and yes I had them on....just thought the one with the bra on was a commodore.. just jokes! .Anyway, a bloke must be going mad, swore there were only two!, or maybe I'm just a deadshit that can't count!

So I rang the guy from LH. He said they had 7 car groups last year... so know what we are after. They have BEDS for 90 people, and the accomadation is around $47.30 per day per person. This is with breaky, lunch (which we can take away also) and a hot dinner. $3 extra for a hot breaky :( Also full use of the facilities. They have TONS of parking of course, and have catered for groups of up to 370.

Kids are only $33 a head, and the younger the cheaper which is great if anyone brings rugrats.

DATES FREE:

8 - 9 - 10 April

29 - 30 April 1st May

Weekend of 29th May.

See http://www.laurelhillforestlodge.com.au for more.

I don't think we can go past this place for ease. The guy offered to meet us and talk about what we need, and they can do whatever it is. EG, menus, table service (as if).

So there you go!

Just to repeat..

We are organising a weekend meet and P-A-R-T-Y, all welcome.

Accomodation, meals, BYO drinks, and maybe music [depending on numbers], late May, stay posted, we'll give out more detail as we get going [this is our first year, so be patient], we want you to come.

If we got 90 ppl there I'd be wrapped, if we only get 30, I'd still call it a sucess for our 1st year.

Hey I have been reading and keeping up to date with all this, I am up for any date just a matter of organisiation. So far so good and i would say that 30 for the first year would be a great turnout. I would also like to say good on ya Jayce and Richard for doing some rep work for us here in the ACT.

hey wat we need is really like a forum for only this section.

Give me a few days and ill see wat i can do about adding a new section onto the southcoast modified car scene forums http://nowrascene.drkns.net

So just out of interest as well where are most people located on these forums?

Canberra, Wagga, Albury, Tumut, Murray-Murrumbidgee.

Thanx osiris, but we'll keep it in SAU at the moment I reckon.

SuperGimp, Silvia's are more than wlcome, we will need somebody to bag out on......lol

How was the meeting? did you just stay at the Shanty? Got back from the gong and went to the Shanty at 2:45, but no-one there!

Saw two nice 'lines leaving Wagga at approx. 3pm was that the Canberra guys? - Looked very smiko!

Hey Stolly, Thanks mate. Prolly was me n Jayce. Jayce is a pearl white 94 Vspec and mine is silver with the Cf Bonnet (R32's). Shame you didn't catch up.

Very common mistake R33=Commondore ... bahahaha (ouch!). We parked at Subway and then some big car park near KFC for a few pics and a rave.

Oscar n Seraphyn,

Thanks for the kodak moments. Any chance you could e-mail em to [email protected]

Very much appreciated (cos I'd like to get a decent Avatar of the GTR)

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
