congrats on the job Andrew...if i ever want to sell my place i'll keep you in mind! Especially since your boss has such great taste in cars, that's probably my fave skyline getting around atm (besides the blue r34 gtr).

hey all, im back from sydney, sorry for not replying, once i've started learning etc im sure i'll be able to help anyone out with any advice on property and buying etc, i've already spent alot of time re searching for myself and my house.

i just bought 2 suits, but geeeeeze you would'nt beleive how hard it is to find a candy pink business suit these days!!! all these wankers that keep getting around in blacks and greys really make my specific needs hard to meet ;@p

Slightly more serious note, do you gotta do ressies at ???Hawkesbury??? for your real estate ticket. Had an aquaintance do it ages ago, and they had to go up Sydney way and do about 2 months of face to face classes along with on the job training. I think they did this a couple of times too.

why do you need a suit to be a pole dancer at the Blue Oyster bar? what job did you say again?

A seriously belated "Congratulations!" from E. and me! We knew you could do it:now it's time to draw up a timeline of achievables:buy 1st house, more suits, but 2nd,3rd and 4th houses, update your Rolex collection, start fashion house label as side project, new boat, buy 10th house(Milsons Point is nice this time of year...)and finally, chop in that beaten SLK Merc' for a real car:R34 GTR Nur Spec'!!!! Oh YEAH!!!

Then he can start buying us all R34's

buying you all cars could take a few more months than expected, i've been working in real estate for a week now and only have 17 houses completely paid off and owned under my name, im trying really hard but i must just be missing something? lol.

Timeline is the right word Jayce with the key word being time.....and lots of it!

im on lunch now and back at 3:30 but all is going swimmingly (not due to the rain) car-wise im considering a lancer (i actually wouldnt mind going back to another one) or civic etc, but as you all know i change my mind like the wind changes so i'll probably end up driving a Datto ute with a Ferrari engine or some stupid concoction.

going to have to work my as* off to get my 1st house but if all goes well i may be able to get something nice for my 1st house, but once again the key word here is "Time".

that said, the 34 GTR is definately right up there on my wish list! among an s15, s8 rx7, Ferrari, Carrera, and a few more ferrari's lol, but at this point i could'nt even afford to buy miniature models of them, haha.

This'll sound dumb, but go and get yourself some of those models(cars...not the expensive other sort of models...)and put 'em somewhere you can see 'em-"positive dream reinforcement",I think it's called. I surrounded myself in GTR stuff when I was still in the dreaming stage of ownership and, well, you know what happened after that...

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
