Rotomotion is the go for Microtech.

Chris mills does not own the workshop anymore he now runs the shop out the front.

They do a lot of Asian cars there now and tuned many of the Fast friday cars last week both Trev and asian. With the equipment in Chris mills performance service and Dyno center

there is not much that cant be done there inc full engine building inc in house machine shop

etc.

AJ is and has long been a respected Tuner.

With SST now closed I don't know of realy decent place that respects you as a client.

Thats what it is!

It's the owners that set the standards of the shop and take time to get to know you and your car. Most people around town are only concerned with money and having a drink at the end of the day.

Harsh

Not much has been spoken of AJ's tuning at Speedworks. Has anybody on here had their car tuned at Speedworks? Also, does AJ tune PFC?

hey gtst89, my friends car was tune by speedworks and he is more than happy with the results i have been in the car and what can i say the car is making over 400rwhp with a rom-tune ecu without 1 problem :P many people have said speedworks to be slow etc but my friend said if ur paying customor it isnt slow :D

also banned on here had his r32 gtr built/tune by them and he was happy 2 :D

who would be best to get my R33 GTS-T with a microtech LT-12 tuned by?

This will sound lame after all the wondrous advice previously given but we can tune your microtech.

Failing that , Mick at Ovaboost is very good and has some quick Nissans on the product. :D

Cheers

Ken

Actually sexzilla, upon reflection, I take offence to that post...

I don't often arc up but that is such a broad sweeping statement it requires an answer.

If you are saying that SST is the only shop that provides service, then why have they closed??

And PSI, Hyperdrive, X Speed, Speedworks, Barry dyno, Cypher Industries, Ovaboost, CMP, Wheelspin,Supertec, EvoR and a few I can't remember/don't know are all useless and only chasing the money or beer.

So you have been to them all and made a value judgement as to there capability/drink worthiness??

Pull your ****in head in...

Ken

ill throw my 2 cents in.

the best service i ever recieved was at hyperdrive. every single thing they did was done with a standard second to none.... whether that be answering a phone call or running my car on the dyno

close seconds... speedworks and xpseed ... both very very good.

as for al's comments, i doubt there is anyone out there who will better Ken and Lumpy for taking time to get to know you as a person 1, and as a customer 2.

i will also throw in my 2cents,

everyone knows im not the smartest person when it comes to cars and i ask about 100 question which are all the same just different words. But both ken and lumpy have looked after me 100% whether it be showing me how to install the fmic piping, or fixing my car after i almost killed it when it blew an oil line (just rock up and they fix it)

both take the time to listen and answer my question, i once had a 30/40mins talk with ken just about my skyline good upgrade and everything else related to cars :D

Getting the new R tuned there on Friday, flying down for it too, will post results in another thread once I get them.

I don't know what people are whinging about, there is no one and I mean no one up here that is even competent to provide a service, every time I ahve let my car out to anywhere up here it has come back with some form of mal service done to it.. I had to get service on my 180 due to warranty, no warranty on the R32 this time.. A little run down if I may:

TNT smashed the car upon taking it off of the truck for delivery..

The smash repairer left 6 bolts only half in after fixing abovementioned damage.

First service the dump was removed to fit EGT probe, snapped a bolt in turbo (this happens is cool) but when they put the turbo back on, they only put one nut on it, resulting story blown gasket, lots of squeaking, found it my self.

Next service, threaded sum plug and must have only done up finger tight, resultant effect 2 litres of oil on driveway and a repair job for me while I was at it.

Next service, vehicle is seen doing close to warp speed (in town I might add) by one of my good friends..

Next Service, threaded sump plug thread on ym nice new Trust Sump, (car was smashed only a weke after this so the sump came off and now has a heli coil in it, in a mates car)

I just wanted my car to be released to a workshop/mechanic/repairer without it coming back in worse condition than it went in..

The nearest tuner, is Port Hedland, 250km/h away, they don't do 'imports' (they also classified a VL Turbo and import), and won't let cars on their dyno if the owner is present, you have to leave it with them and come back the next day... hrrmmm, not too sure on that one.. I also heard a rumour that they have let a car go on their dyno too, which would not be pretty I would say..

Yorik, nice avatar..hmmm..love those tits.

Anyway, AJ is a competent tuner on Power FC but so are we. We have the datalogit software ( mostly) to tune it and do a few cars for the Karratha mob on behalf of D Konig.

We have a reasonable reputation on them and PNBlight will attest to the HP we attained for him out of his.

Cheers

Ken

[bANNED] cant remember his sau nick but they are his car plates

Boosted_RB26 i believe?

anywayz, Sexzilla i think ure post isnt fair at all to any of the workshops in Perth... u might wanna take it back..

i must say, ive used Cypher and Zack is a champ... havent used Hyperdrive but ive known Ken since before he opened Hyperdrive and he's a great peoples person.. I havent done much at SST except a few repairs but I get along well with Steve and he's given me heaps of advice not neccesarily car related.. at the end of the day, these guys are just regular people and if u treat them well, walk in with a good attitude instead of being stuck up then i believe they will treat you in the same way.. not every workshop is for you, naturally each person would have their preffered workshop.. the best is to stick to the one you feel is best for you and BE LOYAL! lots of ppl jump workshops for the sake of saving 20-30 bucks.. yeah i know its money but in the long run, being loyal to a workshop saves you heaps of cash too..

sorry for the long post

Cliffs = choose workshop, stick to it, dont bag others, kthxbai

    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
    • Here's an idea, answer the questions I asked you as they are trying to work out WHY the LSD will be binding up in a straight line.
    • You haven't driven many modern cars then have you? Most of them have sfa steering feel with their stupid electric bullshit steering systems.
