The R32 Gtst understeers majorly! I let my B-spec driver have a go and every time i asked him to push hard he would just spin or hit walls.

I bought an R34 GTR N1 00' model and modified it with everything and this understeers worse then the r32! I thought GTR's were supposed to stick like $hit to a blanket. 9.6% complete

I bought a 95 R33 GTR N1 and it doesnt understeer at all, also if you have a understeering car adjust the cars settings to balance the car better.

Also are you using driving assists? I hear they cause the car to be understeerie, Im not sure as I never use driving assists.

About 16% through now. Very happy with the game. The only two issues I have is that a) some of the car engine are terribly wrong (though some are excellent so kinda makes up for it) and b)some, infact most, RWD do not handle at all correctly when the rear wheels are spinning.

i think most people that complain about understeer have all the assists off. I have no issues the car handles much more realistically than in GT3.... ive u have been on a track u will realise just how much a car really does understeer when pushing hard into a corner.

ive done up the autech stagea to the max haha looks so funny drilling all these suped up supercars with a station wagon ;)

You know the game is probably correct on understeer, its just it can be really annoying and it makes you think how slow do I have to go before this thing will actually turn... The cars are not accurate I believe on power oversteer, just try and do some donuts, I can prove its not accurate. But its a game, Need for speed is more fun in some regards, it gives a better sense of speed and although drifting is easy, its more fun...............

Hey fellas, i have a couple of questions, im 13% in to GT4 and i cant figure out whar car i need to use to cmplete a few races,

1) what car should i be using to complete thr "All japan GT Championship"???

What sugestions do you guys have???

2) what car should i be using to complete the "All american Championship"???

and the Stars and stripes????

answers to all those questions would be good, but answers to any would help right now,

i try go in to the "all Japan GT Championship with my Option Stream Z '04 which has 963 HP, and i can keep up with the cars there running, even tho mines as worked and lightend as much as i can, i tryied using my Fairlady Z Concept car which has total power of 947 and couldnt stay close enough either,

hope someone can help.

Thanks Guys

the only understeer problem i can find in this game is if people are mistaking brake fade for understeer... ie going hard into a corner and braking only for it not to turn but keep going forward.

i agree with the burnout thing but then again.... who really cares about burnouts... this is a racing sim

I've got a 888 KW GTR, its a 34 V spec II Nur, which I changed the oil in as soon as I bought :P

I've got a few around the 700 - 800 mark though.

Anyone know what the 34 N1 ends up with?

30% Complete, yeah baby :)

I have bought this, not much of a chance to play it yet, I just looked around the whole map, did about 5 b licence tests bought a car to start with (Lancer evoII I think). A question I do have though, I haven't had the time to earn cash from it but is there a difference between modding your car (for example) at ralliart, compared to buying something from the tuning shop (HKS, Apex'i, blitz etc)?????

I was just wondering if your car got more/less power, or maybe the game would add decals to your car or something. The one thing I wish they did bring back from the original GT is the racing modification, where the car becomes race-looking (different coloured paint, manufacturing stickers etc), don't think you can do that in this. :D

Guess you have to earn about a million & just buy the Penzoil GT-R or something then.

Tuning shops offer a stage 5 turbo option which offers around the same hp as stage 4 but much better drivability, also tuners have a unique suspension package. Otherwise the upgrades are the same. There is no Apex'i BTW.

you will find that if thats the power output it says in ur garage then its wrong... the conversions in the game are screwed.... the only time u get a proper reading is from after the race or when you actually view the car.

so 888ps is equal to 653kw

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
