Don't know if anyone read the lastest Autosalon Magazine, it had a write up on a Skyline here in Perth that a guy's worked on for the last 6 years!

Looks absolutely awesome!! He did a fantastic job of it let me tell ya!!

He's put on a Wise sports body kit, think it has 421 rwkw.

Saw that it had the www.skylinesaustralia.com printed on the back of his car.

Wonder if he is on this forum??

If you haven't seen it I suggest go have a read!

Under all that Tupperware it's still a GTS-T no matter how good it looks (and it does)

Couple of R34GTR's for sale here for less money.

Would still be enough money left for a cool set of rims.

Have to ask yourself which would have the higher resale value in 5 years.

Maybe a bit harsh of me but my opinion only of course

Cheers

Saw it at a cruise a while back ,very nice indeed. Bit too showy and i imagine it would suck it down so its no daily driver but if you like that kinda thing it would be great.

One of a kind is a good thing ya know :(

I've know Nick for a while, he's a really top guy, and put a huge amount of time and money into the car, as he's made it exactly how he wanted it to be. I think the car is great:D

I put the www.skylinesaustralia.com sticker on the back of his car at PAS a few years back.

Only a gts-t???? its the ony gts-t, its completely unique, not another one anything like it in aus.

So gotta ask yourself, would you sooner have another R34 GTR (very tasty), or

A one of a kind skyline that puts down enough power to stop all over that GTR?

All hypothetical really isnt it, depends on what you like. Cheapest way to mod a car though, buy one that is already done :) its rarely though that you see one that has been modded this well, ie, no expense spared.

Yeah, has it ever run a time ? All good and well having 945849854rwkw and being a dyno queen, and a show pony, but real 1/4mi. times ?

The car wasn't designed for 1/4miles, I doubt you'd add 200kgs of stereo equipment if you want to go fast:p Besides I didn't see you racing at Drag Combat;)

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
