what ive done on my previous cars rocker covers is, sand down the writing till its polsihed up, then get a cloth and dip it in clean oil, and lightly go over the wirting.

make sure it only VERY light, so it doesnt run down the side etc.

then after painting, and drying, you can easily wipe the wirting down with a cloth dipped in turps etc, but again, do it very lightly.

they look awesoem mate... can u chuck on a pic with the rims back on.... do u notice them much... nice looking color to

yeah sure ill take some and have em up by the weekend, the stand out like dogs balls, and because of the anodized effect in different lights its a different blue, like a harlequem paint, i also did my wheel nuts blue with it to, but ill get ya some more pics up shortly, i still gotta do my back ones so i might do a step by step thread with pics of each thread and goods used since i had heaps of feed back about this paint

just wondering if you think it is worthwhile getting clear coat and painting over the top just to give it more protection against brake dust eating away at the paint... or do you think that the heat will turn the clear to a murcky colour anyway

According to their website, if you're applying METALCOAT to bare metal surfaces (ie. you wire brushed your calipers first), your meant to use " CP-199 Adhesion Promoter". If the surface is pre-painted, you use the METALCOAT Groundcoat. See here: http://www.duplicolor.com/solutions/faq.html#anchor17
