Yer but they could be still bad. U need to jack it up and grab the top and bottom of the wheel and wobble the wheel and see if it moves. If it dose u will need to replace. The only other thing I could think is it might be ur abs unit.

Also have a look at ur front drive shafts

Interesting today. Drove up the road and the left rear brake scrunched. Went back home and had a look. One pad was on the metal, not any pad material left, the other had 5mm of pad left .Both sliders were jambed solid. Luck had a set of pads in the cupboard.

My son came home at lunch time to do the job, he got back to work 15 mins late and the boss fired him. Words fail me.

At the risk of stating the obvious; your son's boss sounds like a galactic penis.

Is there any recourse for him, as that sounds like unfair dismissal to me.

If I'd been fired every time I was late back from lunch as a young bloke; I'd have had quite a lot of jobs. :whistling:

Hopefully his next job won't see him under the thumb of a asshat like that guy.

Hey guys, as far as fitting brembos goes, im looking at going for 33gtr fronts, just wondering if it requires anymore than a dogbone and custom lines? And also the legality of braided brake lines. I also plan on running a larger rotor to suit.

if you have a s1 then gtr calipers and rotors should bolt up, no dogbones needed (unless you are referring to what brembos somtimes come with)

as for braided lines, just anything that is adr compliant will be fine, i think that may only be HEL

no dogbones/caliper adapters, or new brake lines required. there is a difference in the bolts for the calipers (the hub is 1 size larger than the brakes). Some people are concerned or make a spacer to sort that, I didn't and had no issues

I ran 32 gtr (same as 33 gtst) on the front of mine that way for years. cheap and easy upgrade

Yer to do with the bolts. I was going to use the stagea bolts will I be able to use them with the 32GTR calipers?

And what about the GTR hard lines will they work with the stageas soft lines?

And also was told there is a little bit in the caliper where the line bolts in that u need to remove if u use the stageas hard lines but do I need to still remove that if I use the GTR hard lines?

you my friend are a f*cking gun!

still undecided ATM but I can have 32gtr calipers (sumitomo's) for 50bux, 33gtst calipers pads rotors and lines for $300, or possibly 34 gtt setup for an amount I will find out tomorrow if he still has them..

I'm happy with the brakes but I need rotors and my only option is 500bux from dixcel so trying to see if there is a cheaper option

will definitely let you know as soon as I figure it out - thanks mate
