Whats your favourite car manufacturer?

Mine would have to be TVR, they make the wildest things out there...and they are priced so that if i ever got my ass in gear, then well in 3-4 years i could perhaps afford one...which is a huge encouragement as a Sagris is about my dream car.

Ill take one in white of dark grey/anthracite thankyou:)

I gotta agree. I love the TVR cebera speed 12 . ugly as hell, but a race car with indicators.

I have been in one and it was loud, and the fastest thing i have ever been in.http://www.pistonheads.com/tvr/cerbera/gt2_2.htm

they dont have airconditioning or a real interior for that matter, or a radio.

Looks alone :

Only British car i like is the Aston Martin.

Old or new, horniest looking cars out there.

Porsche GT is a close second, than come the usual exotics like Zonda, Ferrari, Porsche, even the M5 and RS6 etc...

I must be one of the few that don't dig the Gallardo, or any Lambo for that matter.

Astons are awesome things, the old twin supercharged V8 Vantage was so cool...but come on Emre, we both know i dont have any class so i couldnt even comprehend owning an Aston

Saw one of those new 6.0L V12 Astons (silver) on the Eastern fwy after picking up R32_bigboy heading up to DECA. LOL he was flying and i was gating it trying to keep up so we could take some shots...sadly i was too slow:(

...oh and link fixed

I love the look of TVRs, but they're built like shyte. Every component in them is British made, and it shows. Those things will shed parts like pets shed fur in Summer.

They've also got the twitchiest handling, which is great if you're a race car driver but scary if you're a normal person. In the wet, even race car drivers have issues (I've got a video of Martin Brundle attempting to drive a couple on a wet track).

As a carmaker, I like Honda. Their cars tend to be solid engineering-wise, and they cater for their target market very well. The Type-Rs are track weapons, the Accord is a fuss free and benign family car, and the Civic has always been a fuel efficient and easy to drive small car (until it grew and got replaced by the Jazz).

I can't see myself ever buying a Honda (I'm not fond of peaky engines in street sports cars, and I really don't like FWD in any vehicle) but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other people who don't have the same requirements as me.

If you're talking sports cars, I'll take a Lotus. I'd love an Elise 111R, but if you handed me the keys to an Esprit or Elan I'd cope.

What you said about TVRs is true of past cars, and to me all part of the cars character:)

But since that ricj Ruskie took over there have been huge changes at TVR, and rebviews of the Sagaris etc say that they are changed things with leaps that can be measuered in light years as far as build quality.

Those Brundle vids are good, but they are over 3 yrs old and before the new ownership. AS for in the wet handlign, any rwd car with over 300hp is a barrel of laughs:)

yeah gotta agree the TVR's are nice lookin cars, i like alot of them , they jst have sleek designs, im not really a fan of anything british but TVR's.... :P

as for any other car makes i wouldnt know where to begin, alot of different cars appeal to me.... like newer Ferrari's ( its the italian in me ), to some mercs, so alota jap cars ( hence me owning one ).... to even some american cars.

Barrel of laughs? You've got a wicked sense of humour.

I like TVRs, ever since I saw Tiff's review of the Tuscan. Just hearing the car fire up and the angry note from the carbon fibre rear tanks just gave me a chubby. But since its a British car with British people building them, I'll wait 2-3 generations in before checking their build quality again.

Rome wasn't rebuilt in a day, and think about how long it took between when the NSX came out and when Ferrari released their first ever car that had a warranty....

I don't mind Audis, it's the understate looks that I prefers and they give you a pretty long leash in regards to modification, possibly the only manufacturer that I know of. But for and out there car an F430 got my money, I drove one of these at prior to the Australian release day on the coast, all I can say is where do i sign up. Nothing that I've own or driven in the past even remote comes close. Also my pet hate would be the Pagani Zonda, Saw one in real life and for the money they're asking is ridiculous. It's basically a kit car made in Italy with a german heart, and not a good one at that. Also no heritage .

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
