Stop being a moron. Go back 1 page, and look. Oh wow there is 9.5+20 there, ON AN R34! Oh and he has written the mods to fit!! It's almost like this thread is full of information or something.

If you go into the "more reply options" you can upload and attatch, rather than linking via a site.

HI Guys, getting new tyres soon for my R34GTR.

I have Advan 18x10 +25 rims and they do not have the tyres I want in a 275x40 18 , but they have a 285x30 18 , would they fit without scrubbing.

I just went thru every page of this thread :)

I did have 19x9.5+25 with 245s and no mods were required...they are now sold i want jap wheels.

now im tossing up between the following for my r32 gtr:

1). 18x9.5+22 with 265s ('safe' option with gauranteed clearance on full lock & guards)

OR

2). 18x10+20 with 265s (will work with with no mods if i run nitto invo tyres, thx SIR-RB for the advice)

decisions decisions...also looking for other ppls opinions :)

Ok thx for the feedback :)

Would it be optimistic of me to think I can run 265s on 10s without guard rolling or is this simply required from your personal experience?

Where did it rub on your inner guards, on the front which sits directly behind the bumper bar right? What tyre brand are u running?

I rolled the guards myself (on the rear). Previous tyres bashed the lip out on the front guards lol. Rolling is required unless you car is high. It'll probably still scrub.

Yep the front part, because I used to run a bit more caster. Had to dial some caster back and add negative camber up front (around -2deg, -1.5deg rear). Caster is around the 5deg mark.

I'm running Falken FK452 at the moment. Previously had old Bridgestone TS-02 or something with more rounded shoulders so didn't need guard rolling.

If you're worried about not rolling, then get 9" and run 255 wide tyres. I would rather roll and try to cram the widest tyre possible :P.

Model: r34 gtt

Wheel diamiter: 18"

Wheel width: 9.5" all round

Offset: +15 all round

Wheel size:225/40

Hi, I'm looking to buy a set of hks coilovers for my car and I saw these wheels for sale. If I bought these wheels how far could i lower my car before I would need rolling of the guards ? Also I'm not an expert on tires so while I'm posting this will 225's fit on 9.5's without any issues ?

If you leave it stock height with reasonable tyre profiles, you won't need a roll at all. But that offset is fairly aggressive, and if you lowered at all you would need guard rolling and 2 deg negative camber to fit inside the guards. And yes, 225's sit nicely on a 9.5.

Refer to previous page, I have 225/40 on 9.5+20.

i had all my suspension dialed in by heasmans & i am very happy with it :)

i dont want to 'potentially' compromise handling for the sake of running wider wheels...from this, i purchased 18x9.5+22 & will run 265s as i was told this would clear.

now i need to decide on tyres - any recommendations?

nitto invo OR nt-05 sound interesting.

i get mixed feedback on the federal rsr's

Thanks mate :)

Street use really but I want optimum grip due to the power level I'm running...as long as the tyres aren't too sticky where they pick up small rocks and scratch the bodywork haha

Hi mates, first post on the forums.

I just got one of the first two R34 GTTs in my country (Costa Rica!) and I definitely want to change the wheels it came with...

I have read through this thread and a couple others and I arrived at the conclusion that some 18x8.5 +30 front/18x9.5 +38 rear seems like it will work with the all-stock car (please correct me if I am wrong here!)

From that, I am eyeballing the Work Emotion Ultimate Kiwami wheels and I am wondering if these will be a good fit.

Any comments and ideas are really appreciated! :thanks:

    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
    • I checked spark on all cylinders and they all visually have spark with the plug pulled and grounded, but plug 1 is the only one that fouled. This was a running swap that blew up and was rebuilt by a machine shop, put a new wiring specialties harness and did all gaskets, studs, and bolts while it was out.  compression is 135-150 across all cylinders. Aside from that from my understanding with the z32 ecu and maf the car should start regardless. The wiring for TPS and the dual 02 sensor/ dual knock sensor stuff shouldn’t actually stop the car from starting or even running well, (just slightly rich)  they just give fault codes. Car supposedly is supposed to start as long as you have z32 afm and ecu with the nistune base map and that’s info coming from a well known and trusted tuner who does a lot with SR/RB (Rsenthalpy). After more trouble shooting today where I’m at right now is that the cas is sending signal to the injectors they click while spinning the rotor, Fuel pressure is now set at 43psi, all cylinders have good compression and all of the plugs looked great (just wet with fuel) except for cylinder 1 which was very black (cylinder 1 has 150psi compression). all of the coils generate spark if pulled out and grounded out on the head. On the fuel pump car just pops into the exhaust. On starting fluid car will fire off. Hard to tell if all cylinders are firing off but definitley a couple. sounds like all of them but it’s only for 3-5 seconds hard to tell.
