Garry,

Did you get my PM? I deposit money on Friday, for my order for R33 GTS4 and send you the internet money transfer details via PM.Please confirm.

Cheers.

The shipment was received at Bilstein and deliveries will start tomorrow for guys that have already placed orders. There are quite a few sets in stock, but they will go quickly, so get your orders in.

The standard delivery times are restored;

Springs are usually in stock at Whiteline

Bilstein takes 1-2 working days to machine the additional circlip grooves

Bushes are usually in stock at Whiteline

Stabiliser bars take 4-5 working days to make as Whiteline do not keep stock

Delivery is via Toll priority and usually takes 1-2 working days to anywhere in Australia.

I PM the con note number as soon as Jamex issues it that way you can track the delivery on the Toll web site.

:( cheers :)

Hey Gary, was just wondering, if someone was to replace ALL of their bushes, what would that involve?

I've already got both camber kits and the caster kit, front and rear sway bars, and pineapples.....i've ordered the springs and shocks off you so once those are in, is that everything changed or is there still more to replace?

you could probably change the original liquid filled cradle bushes. it's a big job though - the whole cradle needs to be dropped. i've been told that it's easily a good couple of hours kinda job.

There are no bushes left that wear excessively once you have installed the stabiliser bars, the caster, camber and rear subframe alignment kits.

:P cheers :P

The R33GTST Bilsteins arrived at Jamex today and deliveries for orders placed will commence tomorrow, check your PM's for con note numbers tomorrow.

If you are thinking of getting an R33GTST kit, I strongly suggest that you do it very soon. This shipment won't last long.

 cheers :woot:

I'm thinking of putting everything on the car myself and then getting a workshop to adjust/align everything.

Has anyone else installed a full kit themselves? How easy was it?

good luck with the bushes.

I haven't done it yet but if you've got your suspension apart to put the shocks in it shouldn't be too hard to take out the necessary control arms and castor rods and take them to a pedders or something similar to swap the bushes over. Since you've done the hard work of getting the parts out they shouldn't charge you much to just press out the old bushes and put the new ones in. They may look after you a bit if you say you'll be back to get a 4 wheel alignment in a few hours.

Then just drive down and get your alignment.

Got my stuff yesterday too..delivered at 8am!

Was just wondering what grooves the shocks should be set at front and rear for the 350/340 settings?

And also, how involved is the process of changing the height later on down the track once everythings installed...is it like completely re installing the suspension?

Will installing springs/shocks affect my camber/caster settings?

good question, i was wondering about the circlip groove height's aswell, i think they are set for 350/340 setting as they are, when they come, but dont hold me to it. anyway SK will answer all our questions lol

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
