I bought Hankook ventus k104s in 235/45/17 for $175 from Joes Tyres in Moorabin.

The best way to look for tyres is decide what brand you want, then look at their website for their preffered suppliers, as they have them for cheaper than anyone else.

sorry 255x17 i meant

provide stacks of traction and a very nice all rounder

getting them again soon. last about 15 months (28,000 k's) on good rwkw gtst

The hankooks are cheap for a reason. The reason is they are shit. Get something better.

I noticed ur car also had as nice dent in the rear end last time I saw it in hampton Park??

Wasnt that the manufacturer Mavric had problems with grip on also? <_<

Donnellans Box Hill are my choice.

Either that or City and Rural in Cheltenham.

Both have a great selection and reasonably priced.

I'm running the Falkan Azenis ST115 275/35/18 on the R atm. Good value for money rubber.

Was running DJ01s but they wore too quickly on the street.

I'm with Dave on this one.

They were considerably the cheapest around when I was shopping.

Although Clayton Beaurepaires ended up matching their price. A long story, but Clayton was more convenient for me.

Yep I've gotta agree with INASNT on the Hankooks- I just bought a GTR last Friday & it's got these on all fours & I've gotta say I'm NOT inpressed, i nfact it's embarassing how little grip they really have when pushed

It's part of owning these things, put good rubber on 'em 'cos you'll either bend 'em at best or put yourself in a box..........

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
