TO ALL,

A little while ago i read either on s.a. post or somewhere else that sydney kid and co. were coming here to adelaide this weekend to race in the improved production series. What this means we can catch up with the professor of every thing SKYLINE and get to see some skylines circuit race as well.

Now can anybody remember reading this and can confirm at all?Secondly if it is the case is anybody going to go out to watch,i will go but cant go untill around lunch time as my youngest plays tennis on sat mornings

Regards,

SKYLINE (Kym)... B)

To Guy,and all those who turned up on sun i say a big thank you, it was indeed a great day and some tasty cars to perve on.I have some great cruise courses that we have used over the years with the svd boys so we might get round to doing some of those in the better weather(but would be nice to have some kw's to keep up)

To Geoff (and Ronda {SPELLING} it was great to meet you and must hook up again soon.

LASTLY lets make sure we can keep having functions like sunday at each others houses during the good weather so we can personalise a bit more ,cause the bonding only leads to stronger friendships and makes us a stronger forum community!

Kym, it was in the Mallala Practice days thread started by Roy : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...ic=46214&st=120

And to quote SK :

The Improved Production National Championships are on 12/13th November, so I assume Friday 11th would be a private practise day for competitors. For the SA guys, the BSM team are bringing the GTR. Pop out and say g'day.

cheers

I'll be keeping an open day for this for sure :D

Would love to go out there and meet Gary (SK), ply him with bourbon and chat Stageas with him!

(burb's & stags = lots in common!!):)

But there's always bloody too much on, on the weekends!

Brendan

From Gary's original post it sounded like the GTR's will be here but

he wont. Could be wrong thats just the way it read. Both would be better. He's gunna get sick of answering questions if he is here.

I wonder if Mallala is underwater at this point? And/or if the road to Mallala will be passable by the weekend?

i dont think it is. my dad was out there yesterday and he didnt mention anything about floods.

Which day has the best line-up of racing? I am going to head out on one of the days - at this stage the weather looks better for Sunday! Anyone up for a pre-meet and cruise?

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
