Well what can i say what a fantastic Wang weekend away. I haven’t had so much fun in a long time... Was great to see some new faces that i hadn't meet before not only from SAU but also from the WRX club... Massive thanx to the organisers of this weekend you guys did a fantastic job... Would also like to send out a HUGE thanx to Jarrod for letting me take his 32 for a quick burn was great.. And also to all the other guys who took me for a burn on the skid pan ..... Thanx Saff for driving me up there really appreciate it mate, and also thanx to Chris for dropping me home…

Im cooked red but to watch all competitors launching off from the Long wang was well worth it... Great to also see a few new timers getting out on the track and giving it all they could and doing a great job of it so well done to all those that for the first time and gave it a go...

I don’t have to say anything about last night other than Team Wang went hard and did us all proud... Thanx to Blaze for finding some Guinness couldn’t have a Wang weekend away with out some Wang Bangers .....

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves and look forward to seeing you all at the next event…..

Any comments about dinner?

Well another well organised SAU/WRX DECA day! Kudos to the people that organise these days and all the volunters that stood around ALL day making the day run smoothly. Everyones efforts are much appreciated.

Found it amusing that the first DECA day, no one seemed super keen and we only filled half the field (didn't bother us that turned up tho hehe) and this time, there weren't enough spots!!! Guess highlight videos of the days antics will always raise more interest :P

Looking forward to seeing the video and photos once the camera crews have sorted thru it all!

After 2 DECA days, I still haven't mastered how to stop the Titanic from spinning around, maybe I'll work it out on the next one....can't wait!

why do people take off there number plates  ?
insurance, warranty, police, *cough* company cars... etc
LOL :)
Cripes.  Anyone would think that Adz and I were just out to make smoke!!!

You weren't?

haha, when I was behind you, you really confused me when you signalled left but went right

What a weekend!!

thanks for the awesome weekend guys, had an absolute blast.

Thanks to all who were so welcoming to Justine and myself, couldn't have had a better day!

oh, and can't wait till you get those pics up Joel, I'm dying to see them

Dane

(widebody 180)

was told to look at pics buy sammus....all i can say is damn i wish we had events like this in canberra. you should all cruise up for summernats like al (i think it was al) did last year...mmm massive cruise

damn nice cars!

Yep, that was me.

Will most probably not be going to Summernats '06, as there is another event in Phillip Island, at the same time :P.

But the committee has lightly discussed the idea of holding a National cruise/event in Canberra. Hopefully it will come together and various states will participate.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
