Yeah had some ideas, apparently my car is tuned to handle unleaded 95 when I've been putting in premium 98. Doubt that'll have anything to do with it. Checked the air flow sensors and they seem fine. Still got the cutting in and out happening though. Will check out other probs tomorrow!

I've had a squizz through and watched a few vids but they sound more serious than what mine is, I have no leaks, car idles no problem.

Yeah it is stock. I'll look into it thanks! Yeah plugs were changed during the service. This "misfiring", "cutting" is only happening when I put my foot down.

Hey guys! Finally got my car approx 2 weeks ago and already popping with questions! Got my car back from the shop today (major service) and apparently the car is only going three quarters as fast as it should be! I tried to research the problem but have no flippin' idea what I'm looking for! Apparently when you put the foot down the turbo.. cuts in and out? like it's there, then not there, then there again. I didn't notice this until I put my foot down to understand what the mechanic was on about. He said it may be electrical(went into jargon I couldn't understand lol)? I was hoping for some input/thoughts to give the mechanic the next time I see him as they charge lots by the hour lol Only changes done (related to problem) is the boost restricter being removed. so instead of 7psi, it's 14psi. But I don't see the boost gauge use all 14 pounds. Apparently this isn't the problem, I don't know. Any ideas would be fantastic! Cheers in advance guys!

Hey guys, Recently bought a 96 R33 GTR V-spec and it's as stock as a block. I'm after some exhaust setup. cat back is sorted. Just wanna upgrade everything else, manifold, dump pipe, cat etc... Also after BOV, ECU, boost controller and turbo timer. If you have any or know of anyone or can recommend sites or decent brand names, anything. Let me know! Yeah, rear coil overs were replaced last week, don't have the tools to raise it yet. All in due time lol!

sweet as ride, I wanted a R34, but r33 GTR's are a little cheaper than the r34 GTR's by a few grand... lol! Good find on an unmolested ride! I recently got one myself! Look forward to seeing how your car turns out over time

Hey guys! Many thanks for the replies, nice to know there are some decent people on here! Sorry for the late reply, where I live I am lucky to have internet working haha! I'm more than aware of the risks involved in getting a skyline but I just had to have one. I've had my V6, super 6, V8. All that's left is a turbo, why not twin turbo haha! Got my car last friday and boy I'm glad I got into skylines, better yet, I'm glad I got a GTR. Better yet, a reliable one! Previous owner was a female, mother of 2 and I personally knew her. car had only been used to cart kids to school. I believe this is very rare to come across when buying a skyline seeing as most I've seen are thrashed, which annoys me a bit, but that's me. Enough chatter, here are some pics! Mind the back end. Don't have the tools to raise it yet lol! I'll be reading and posting lots of n00b questions in the near future so I apologize in advance if they come off as stupid haha! Finally graduated uni, got a job and now I'm in debt because I bought a R33 GTR V-spec. Your rear end looks good haha! But mlr you're more than right on that, didn't even think about those things, you would think that if it has a RWC you're good to go, but that's not the case, maybe there's a reason why it's so cheap, yet to call the seller. I don't know how to go about it, buy a stock skyline up to 8k, or spend 15k for something modded and well looked after. For me it's a toss up lol. Again, thanks for the insight
