  1. Cheers for the offer mate, greatly appreciated! If you happen to be in Prossy, come on up haha. But yeah I don't have access to a hoist, so car ramps, my mate, and a shit tonne of booze is the way to go. We have the right equipment so that won't be a prob. Living in a small town sucks to get any sort of help for my Skyline, hence the high prices, I did quote around in Mackay for major service and yeah, over 3k.. Unbelievable! I thought I got lucky with the dude at Dyson Auto, easy to get along with, had a knack for skylines too so I really couldn't complain, especially being local.. I just can't justify taking a day off work, driving down to Mackay or Townsville to get work done. Not at this stage anyway! I must say, first forum I've been on where there are minimal to no douche bags on here. Love it! Thanks again guys
  2. haha, was Dyson Auto, they were good when doing my major service though. Others charged me $3,000+ for a major service, he was less than half that! One place to name and shame is Ultratune. Went to get a quote and they said they wouldn't touch my Skyline. wtf!
  3. Yeah my jaw dropped when I was told the price. But yes buying some car ramps, got all me (mates) tools, just need some booze and I'm ready to change them over. Cheers for the input guys!
  4. freakin' beauty. Would've guessed as much. Many thanks to you sir.
  5. Hey guys, Just wondering if it's possible to replace the front pipe on a RB26 using car ramps? If so are there any tips, tricks, recommended tools to use etc? I would rather do it myself as I have the time and don't want to pay over $1000 for the local mechanic to fit them as I was quoted. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
  6. I knew what you meant haha. I think we all give our cars a hurtin' for a squirtin' at least once a day lol. I do admit my car can run a heap tonne better, just not worried at the moment as i drive it on the weekends now haha! Good to get some statistics I must say lol
  7. Yeah not too shabby! Sounds about right lol Hey thanks mate! Yeah it's coming along slowly, pod filter air box came in today! Look forward to fitting that beauty this upcoming long weekend! Your car seems pretty good getting close to 500km highway while pushing 300+kw. Kudos! lol yeah your car seems almost spot on to mine with fuel haha! You plan on doing many mods with your car over time?
  8. Yeah I drive it on weekends now, does that answer it? haha! highway driving i'd be bordering 400km to the tank. the one time driving around Mackay in peak traffic I used near 1/4 of a tank to do 40km.. build up areas, no go. point A to B.. it's alright.. Now it just sits in the car port looking pretty lol I think I get ok fuel for a RB26 considering before I did the cat back, o2 sensors, coil packs, major service I was lucky to get 280km to the tank lol! I think that was an elaborate reply lol! What do you get? p.s I'm running premium in mine!
  9. ahh that's too bad. I have done my googling! white on white looks good, white on black is good too! Mind you wheels are last on my mind atm. I want more go fast. Such a money pit lol! Good luck with the spacers, should make it look aggro as f*ck!
  10. haha should've got an android Thanks mate, I have been thinking about black wheels, I best investigate and photoshop what wheels I may like haha!! Nice to know other people have the same car as me! I look forward to seeing some pics mate. If you live in QLD, would be good to meet up, even do a photoshoot!
  11. Yes actually! Should be in in the next week or so But yeah, stilll in debate wth cooling... for now, it's just great as it is! Did not think turbo cars can be this fun. I love the go fast button I must say (boost controller) Yeah one to keep for a while!
  12. Yeah I've had many discussions about coolers. People say no, others say yes.. But living in 30+ degree constantly.. I think it may be worth while. I'd rather be safe than sorry! In other news, thought I'd share an update on my car! Fixed the boost and spark issue now! Very happy with this car, now goes to 13psi nicely and safely! Got turbo timer in, cat back exhaust, splitfire coilpacks, gapped plugs, pods. All in all, makes nice sounds and is great to cruise into work on Friday's.. Because I have to get motivated to work on the last day of the week haha!

    R33 GTR Vspec

  14. From the album: R33 GTR Vspec

Gave my baby a wash (finally) Had fun with the panorama!
  15. Damn nice ride! I also have a 96 GTR, V-spec model with same amount of mods as you! Hope you enjoy your car as much as I/we do!
  16. I mean, I also want to dyno but I have a shit tonne of other parts I want to get fitted before doing dyno! Only so much you can do on the weekends haha!
  17. She's right mate, I'm not one of those hoons who clutch kicks it down the main street where possible. I've had my fan, paid my dues. Once you put over 20k into something, it's not something you want dying on you from sheer stupidity! But yeah I want to dyno it, does make it difficult being 130km away from nearest dyno. Hard to get time off work to do so! Cheers for the tip mate!
  18. Yeah I suspected it could be fuel supply, that is one of the many answers google tells me! but can't rely too much on google.. Kinda like googling why you're sick, you have terminal brain cancer from a cough and runny nose. But I do have fuel pump lined up I can put in. Nothing for fuel rails yet though!
  19. Hey guys, have a question for ya's as I'm a little stumped Over the weekend my mate and I installed coilpacks (which fixed boost cutting out), cat back exhaust, turbo timer and boost controller (haven't hooked it up to my custom gauge to read boost yet) Under low boost, great to hear the typical turbo sounds. Under high boost, in 3rd gear, on a long stretch I thought I'd seehow she goes. Got to 150 and the car turns off.. Electricals were functional (A/C, H/U, gauges, hazard lights) but engine turned off, no steering etc etc.. I know there is speed cut and boost cut but I don't think they react the was that it did in mine earlier this afternoon. Any thoughts? mods carried out: boost controller turbo timer cat back exhaust pod filter coil packs coil overs My guess is boost was set too high and drew too much making car shut off. I have dialed it back and now using low boost until problem is resolved (and get gauge to read again) Hope that's of some help. Any other questions I'm happy to answer the best I can!
  20. I'm going power fc when I save up the $ I'm hoping to buy N1 turbo upgrade kit tomorrow.. Haven't really thought about cam/cam gears at all lol! But nice to know the intercooler will hold until X kw.
  21. For people who read this, finally got all my parts ordered and at my mates garage ready to install it this weekend (assuming there is no rain) Got some: Splitfire coilpacks Boost controller Turbo Timer Full exhaust O2 sensors Keeping in mind car is practically stock except for coilovers! What mods do you recommend next peeps? I'm looking towards intercooling, fuel related mods, N1 turbo's and ecu in one hit. Wouldn't know how much power I can expect from that! Would love to hit 300kw ATW but unsure what other work/mods would be required. It's a gradual process!
  22. Any skyline drivers in Proserpine area? (whitsundays) I'm confident I'm the only skyline driver up here!
  23. already gapped. coul packs are due to be replaced
  24. yeah I bought some split fire coilpacks. hope they come in before the easter break. would like to hit more than 0.7(unsure on conversion to psi. its reading I get) bar before my car throws a hissifit. my camry runs better at the moment.
