  1. Yeah good point. And I'm buying a bigger trans oil cooler http://m.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Davies-Craig-Hydra-Cool-Transmission-Oil-Cooler-8-Cylinder-Universal/125648 and I'll run the sensor after it before it re enters the transmission but the engine cooling is stock
  2. Cheers guys, was just a little unsure. Also oil temp sensor will work yeah ? Also do I have to run new sensors for the boost gauge and normal engine oil gauge to work or can I tap into anything from the factory set up to save some time ?
  3. Hi all, I'm going to be upgrading my auto r34 set up and I'm going to install some new gauges. What do people think about prosport gauges ? Also to install the boost gauge can I use any of the factory wires/ connections ? Lastly does an engine oil temp gauge work for trans temp ?? I can't find any trans temp ones so I was thinking about using an oil gauge and sensor for it ? Cheers guys
  4. Hi all Looking at upgrading my trans cooler on my r34 gtt. Just wondering if I can use any size cooler? Like I can't put one on that's too big ? Also will I need a new thermostat for a trans cooler upgrade and should I mount the sensor in the return line to the gearbox from the thermostat ? Lastly this may sound stupid but are normal oil temp sensors and gauges the same as trans temp sensors and gauges ? Also when upgrading gauges like boost and oil temp can I just connect the new ones to the old wires or do I need to hook up new sensors and new power and ground wires ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !
  5. Any pics of what the a pillar gauge holder looks like on the car ? Also does it it 52mm or 60mm gauges ?
  6. Is it just for e85? Or can it be used with flex and/or just 98? Also how many L/ph can it pump ? Cheers
  7. Well I bought it from a dealer so legally there needs to be an immobilizer but I have no clue on what one it is. I'll have a look at it later and try see if I can disable it because it's annoying
  8. Already got a second ecu with a nistune chip in it sitting at home ready to go. Cheers mate
  9. I'm located in Perth and I think I solved the problem with the car stuttering but there's still no boost. My cars drivable now so I think I'll just drive it to a workshop to fix it up then tune my ebc on their dino and get a tune while I'm there. Thanks for the help guys !
  10. And okay I'll remove the smic and put the fmic back on and see what happens ?
  11. Okay cheers guys. I did freak the f**k out a bit aha. If I re connect the fuel pressure regulator the way it was then how would I wire in the boost controller ? Also I know about the turbo timer but when I purchased my car it had one and I have no clue where it is ? Started to think gtt's came stock with a built in one because I have no clue where it is and I was told the car was completely stock upon purchase (which besides a pioneer head unit it was)
  12. Just revving it. Also before I put I'm stock smic back in I blew into one of the connecting pipes for any dust etc. maybe moisture could've gotten In to the engine ?
  13. Hi all I'm doing a boost controller and fmic instal link http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/454062-car-making-0-boost-after-ebc-and-fmic-install/ It wasn't working and I decided to take off the fmic and put the smic back on I did this then started my car. The stock boost sensor was working now and it climbed slightly. I revved my car and the greddy ebc got to around -99. I stopped revving it and switched my car off and the turbo timer kicked in. While this happened it sounded like the car died then started back up then died and started back up. It was like a sort of stop stutter thing. I ran to pull the negative terminal out the battery to make it stop. There was slight grey smoke coming out of the engine at this point too. Car was going fine before I removed the fmic I just put in and installed the smic.also I didn't tighten any hoses which connect the afm or smic as I was going to take it off again shortly. Can someone please help. I'll try find a mechanic that can help but please can someone give some help
  14. On the greddy manual it says to tap Into there so that's why I did it but I was hesitant doing it. And okay I'll detach the hose coming out of the actuator to the greddy boost solenoid and just leave it open ? Or should I block it up ?
  15. Yeah the gauge is what I also suspected but on the actual greddy ebc when I accelerate the boost level was staying roughly the same (around -60 or -80 ish) give or take .1 and after I release the throttle from revving it there's no Boost figure from the previous "pull" which according to greddy says that it should display it after you release your foot from the throttle
  16. Right ? I have no clue with what the hell is happening. Only thing I can think of is hose/ Intercooler leaks but even with that shouldn't it be making a tiny amount of boost ?
  17. It was boosting fine before I installed any of the stuff. Also I left the stock boost solenoid plugged in with both the lines connected to nothing
  18. Attached is a (poorly drawn) diagram of everything I did with the ebc. Also I plugged up the spot that connects to the stock boost solenoid on the metal pipe which goes to the bov
