I just connected the wire that switches on the reverse lights. Was pretty easy for me as I used the wire that my reverse camera is connected to. Works perfectly, never had a cel come on.
Bang for buck, federal 595 rsr is hard to beat. There is a new version rsrr. They're not as quick a tyre as a ad08r or any proper semi but you get 85-90% of the performance for 50% of the price.
I want to replace that gasket as a maintenance thing. They do tend to fail on 25's and its a 20 year old part now so I might as well do it. Its not a 26 so I don't need 300 hours to take the plenum apart[emoji12] Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it with a straight edge when I finally get around to doing the job.
Awesome cruise. Thanks to everyone who organised and to those who showed up. It was an awesome route. Had a bit of everything. Even my mrs loved it. It was spectacular driving through the rolling hills with the moon as a backdrop and then watching an airliner descend over you while nailing the throttle and listening to rb's scream. Pure awesome.
if that's the case just leave it as is. No point in wasting $80 on oil if your getting another box in a few weeks. Cant find em, grind em.
When you get your new box, just run conventional gear box oil, not shockproof.
EBay. Around $20 a bottle. U will need 4. Depending where u live u may be able to pick up. Alternatively you can get tubes of nulon smooth shift that johnny suggested from supercheapshit auto.
Why does it only have to last a few weeks?
I hear you. Cops take the side of the crime these days. Friends of mine have used those no win no fee lyers before and I'm pretty sure the fee in the end was 15-20% of the settlement. Good luck with it all.
Add to that loss of income for however long it is. Up to you but I think it would be worthwhile talking to an independent lawyer and getting a professional opinion. You will then know where you stand.
