  1. It ended up not being from the oil cooler setup. Was from the only proper braided Teflon speed flow fitted hose on the car. Turbo oil feed. User installation error, too close too turbo flange. Cooked it and made a pin hole in it. Rob sabbaddin happened to be around and fixed it up for me, shortened the hose and got me back out for another session. I again installed it the same way and it failed again. You live and you learn I suppose. I live just down the road from sandown and made sure the oil was topped up and cruised it home. Fixed it properly the following day. Now I just have gear box issues to worry about lol.
  2. Yep it was a pretty good day and well organised. Weather was also great. Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers who put the hours and effort in to make days like this possible. You guys are awesome and much appreciated.
  3. nos and blast pipes
  4. What was your best et and mph Jacob?
  5. Or yolo it and make up for the low comp with more boooooostB)
  6. Yep, and charger, so super turbo nos charged, maybe add some water meth and run it all on methanol. That would be like fully sick brahh.
  7. Kudos motorsports sells them by each.
  8. No, entries accepted till the 29th I believe
  9. Subscribed to keep applying the pressure in that case:D
  10. Yeah, it was a quiet acknowledgement. Handing clutch control to a computer system sounds good in theory but hey, so did communism lol. Mass producing manufacturers hold out on admitting a fault or problem for as long as they can for reasons I don't understand. The only thing that makes any sense in that case is if they don't know what the actual problem is. Back on topic. The st is manual only and is a cracker of a car. The coming RS can only be better, you would think. AWD and a drift mode button. Hmmm, much want. If only the wife could /would drive a manual.
  11. Port Phillip or botany bay. Plenty around:lol:
  12. St is manual only. And FYI the dual clutch transmission problems in the normal focus have now been solved. The issue was an incorrectly fitted transmission seal leaking onto the clutches causing excessive shudder and slipping. Ford has been replacing the contaminated clutches and seals as required. They know behave quite well. Still have very little occasional low speed shudder but acceptable. My wife owns a focus and we have gone through the above. We're now quite happy.
  13. Air cooled? I think you mean oil cooled.
  14. ^what car is that cargo barrier out of?
  15. Good ash trays if you smoke lol
  16. Took me about the same. On my 4th or 5th track day I found a new limit called a tyre barrier. Didn't end well for the car lol
  17. Those pics remind me of the time I chained my mazda up to a tree and started reversing it to straighten the chassis rail. worked beautifully lol
  18. Sell car and buy turbo version. Cheaper, smarter, better but if you really want to turbo your na you can or put an ls1 in it. I'm sure others will come along to give u some good advice.
  19. Welcome and congrats on your new purchase. There are some cruises coming up. Search for old school cruise. I think there's 1 on the 28th Jan. There is also a track day at sandown on the 30th, will be a good day to meet other members and check out what goes on.
  20. I'd be pretty happy with that for an 18yr old engine.
  21. Yeah, I just fitted new qfm pads all round and good fluid a couple of weeks back, also added an oil cooler and bigger rad, so hopefully I've covered all bases. Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely come and have a chat. See you guys there:)
