  1. Thanks for the comments guys. ^yes you're right. Typo but I did buy cusco camber arms also yesterday:) I think the crush tube not being centred accommodates for the bend in the rods, so when bolted up the angles should be correct. I will check again. Either way ill be taking more measurements and dummy fitting before I decide on hacking into anything. Also I have access to a workshop with lathes and milling machines and guys who are willing to do the work for me, so it will be done properly and won't cost anything either. $50 is tempting but considering the issues i read you had with the sri's I'd rather stay away from el cheapo arms. Kind of why I want to make these fit. They're good quality and in great shape and the price was also right. Good attempt to flog them though. 10 points for effort;)
  2. I'm thinking I can get 6mm machined off each side of the bit that fits in the caster arm bracket and either use some thick washers to pack up the studs being too long on the other end or knock the studs out and replace them with shorter ones. Can any one see any issue with me doing this. I don't want to ruin a perfectly good set of arms.
  3. I picked up a set of cusco caster arms yesterday. They are for R33 GTR. I have R33gtst. There are some obvious differences between the two but I believe I may be able to mod them to fit. 1. The studs that go into the lower control arm are longer. 2. There is a slight bend in the shape of the arm which I believe is for sway bar clearance on GTR. I don't think this is a big deal. 3. The area where the bush would normally be is a lot wider on the GTR. 82.1mm vs 69.5mm. Pictures coming.
  4. No probs Grant. Thank you and nice to meet you.
  5. +1 for sell everything and buy gtt = winning.
  6. Celebratory skid is in order me thinksB)
  7. ^10 points for thinking outside the box with the chopping board.
  8. Ill take the camber arms. Pmd.
  9. We should start a yellow jackets thread similar to the Edward lees one, so it becomes the first thing that comes up on Google when yellow jackets is searched.
  10. My sheets are stained with turd is that stain-lke enough.
  11. Tell him your happy for him to pay a mechanic to work out which ones are shit.
  12. That's standard autech axis height with around 35-40 slabs of soft drinks in the back. All behind the back seat. I have had around 65 slabs in there before with the seats down and there was room for more. It looks worse than what it is in the pic coz of uneven ground but it is extremely on its arse. Poor springs.
  13. After doing all this work on the car outside under the car port, I thought maybe I should clean the garage so I can work on it in there next time. I looked at it and thought, faark that. Nissan parts everywhere. Maybe next time:o Hmmm. Need to sell more junk.
  14. While i was under the car again I fitted a magnetic sump plug. I've always run these on all my cars. Better to catch any metal particles rather than let them circulate through the engine. And a pic of the car on stands just becozB) Skytanic is now ready for her cherry to be popped at Sandown on the 30th.
  15. Fitted the whiteline swaybars today. Was pretty straight forward. Set the front to the 2nd softest of the 4 settings and the rear to the softer of the 2 settings. First impression after a short drive at moderate speeds is the car feels better balanced.
  16. As far as the castor arms are concerned. The ones I have are non adjustable. It's just that the hole is offset in a fixed position to give an extra degree or two. Is that the same type you have Jacob. I can't see how these would effect alignment as your aligner was describing. Am I missing something here? Anyways these arms will eventually be swapped over for something decent and adjustable. I figured anything's better than the stock jelly bushes and since I had these arms I'd use them.
  17. Yep the rad fit with the fan shroud. Here's a pic for you. I can easily fit my finger in between the core and the fan blades. About 15-20mm clearance.
  18. Probably doesn't help that its holidays in Aus ATM.
  19. Also did the rear brakes today. Same deal as the front, Nissan pads where still in there and there discs where almost factory size. Measured up at 17.8mm so I left the discs on and fitted the qfm hpx pads. So I've got a1rm on the front and hpx on the back. Why the mismatch u ask? I paid 55 per end and that's what I managed to secure. I also replaced and bled the fluid with penrite 10 tenths. While I had the car on the stands I also put on some different castor arms I had with offset poly bushes. My car still had the factory bushes. Wtf its like nothing has ever been changed on this car. Lol. Tomorrow I'll get around to putting the white line swaybar kit on.
  20. Yum cha radiator arrived and was fitted yesterday. All went well. Thanks to johnny for the tip about sanding the fitting at the bottom, the sensor still wouldn't sit flush so I put a fat o ring on it and that was that. No leaks. Was a tightish fit but fitted well. Only issue is my factiry cai inlet just fouls on the back of the fan cover so needs a slight trim or slight movement of air box. Bleeded and taken for a couple of drives since. Temp is sitting at 86-87 consistently. Pic of finished product.
  21. A recent supply run. Dumped on its arseB)
