  3. Before you replace the o2 sensor, replace your fuel filter, then check your fuel pump output and pressure. Check ALL vehicle ground wires. Cleaning all the ground connections won't hurt.
  4. The same 3 series is now stored in the shed. Yesterday when I attempted to start the engine, battery was completely flat, cause turned out to be: Headlight switch failed from disuse ? ?WTF. New switch quoted genuine $480, New OEM (Bosch)$350. that's bloody expensive for an ABS switch thats unchanged in design, so will also eventually crumble from presumably heat.
  5. I think that first block is out of a gts4 rb25 Stagea which would account for no gearbox brace holes tapped.
  6. Both of my daughter's Subaru's throw o2 sensor codes, I clear the fault and it goes away for six months or so.
  7. Then it has an SLS head gasket, if it was turbo it would have the MLS gasket. Back in the day retro fitting turbo gaskets would fix the problem. The cheapest and good quality H/G for Subaru is a MLS by platinum
  8. When you get to shimming the lifters . I got my shims from Precision Shims in Melbourne, far cheaper than genuine and great quality.

  11. Yeah mate, When I drove a BMW 3 series, the boot badge was stolen twice they cost close to $70 genuine. So you would surely expect a 30 year old genuine part to be "bloody expensive"

  14. First block is N/A, Turbo oil supply is not drilled and tapped, otherwise no difference. Same foundry, same steel etc
  15. Mate, i've worked for three manufacturer's in my time, paint codes are not secrets, just ask!
