Definitely an airhorn compressor, specifically its off a Fiat 124 spider and its made by FIAMM. Haven't seen one for years don't bin it stick it on gumtree. -

The same 3 series is now stored in the shed. Yesterday when I attempted to start the engine, battery was completely flat, cause turned out to be: Headlight switch failed from disuse ? ?WTF. New switch quoted genuine $480, New OEM (Bosch)$350. that's bloody expensive for an ABS switch thats unchanged in design, so will also eventually crumble from presumably heat.

When you get to shimming the lifters . I got my shims from Precision Shims in Melbourne, far cheaper than genuine and great quality. -

Have you checked the last section in the service manual its called service data and there is a suspension section -

The sway bar link is 54618-AQ305 and available on ebay Just search the part number on ebay.com.au The lower ball joint is not available you can see in the picture the ball joint is only available as the spindle assembly.
