  1. Im torn as I would need to sell the skyline to get the 400Z.... So tempting though!
  2. So walked away from it and tried to get to the sensor connector again just then. Its amazing how something that seemed so impossible before was so easy! Just didn't have my hand in the right place. Went back when fresh and got it off in a few seconds. Ordered a new connector as the existing one has gotten super brittle, and it's not overly expensive. So easy fix in the end
  3. Thanks! I'll have a look when I have the car back together where in the software would I see if any knock strategies are setup? I sucks at using this Haltech software so far.... It doesn't seem overly intuitive unless you play around in it alot
  4. Hey all, Im finding it hard to determine this for sure. What I would like to know is if the elite 2500 uses the factory Nissan knock sensors at all? Just asking as the wiring for the front knock sensor just got split and it's a pain to get in there and fix. So figured if it's not being used, why bother? Thanks for the help! Toby
  5. still waiting on my new wideband sensor. Sapresbox are taking forever, looks like they didnt have any stock in the country and mail is taking forever these days! When it arrives i want to get a new bung welded in further along the dump pipe. Ive been doing a few small jobs with the car since we are in lockdown anyway. Moved the oil cooler to a better position, got a taarks oil filter relocation kit to get the oil filter in a better position. Also ordered a 3qt Accusump that I want to pop in the boot. Was only $385 on Amazon (with no valve), went back to $450 shortly after i ordered. I'm thinking i will just run a manual valve rather than the electronic one.
  6. yep i have 300kw on e85, is super manageable and fun. i mostly only use it for trackdays, 265/275 semi slicks are the go. make sure all the suspension components (coilovers, suspension arms, bushes etc.) are top notch, otherwise it gets a bit unpredictable
  7. It never ends. I got the skyline into the 1:09's but there was a lot more in it... Got some new tyres and then lockdown. Trust me no matter how fast you go, you always want to be that 1 second faster! Wen I first started racing it took me a year to get my RX8 around our Hill climb course quicker than an old man in a diesel golf... Like anything just takes practice Also those Evos are so easy to drive, took my mates out, only was able to do 2 laps and got a 1:08, took no effort they literally make you're driving look good. At least the skyline makes you work for it.... Maybe?
  8. I mean no one in their right mind would skimp on this.... right? This for sure! How is not a thing yet? when I bought my car, I was deciding between a 135i or the R34.... sometimes I wish I went the BMW...... However when I see the 135i I don't look at it and go, man I wish I got that. but if I got the BMW I know I would regret not having the Skyline!
  9. How much you want for these posted to ACT 2605? God damn just saw the age of this thread....
  10. Aww thanks man! Out of curiousity where are you located?
  11. Hey all! Realise it's dead as in here, however thought I should just try anyway. Anyone know someone or is able to weld an alloy bung into an intake pipe (For an IAT sensor) Thanks! Toby
  12. i removed the whole aluminium block just so much crap in there and all the sharp metal bits exactly where my hands need to go Swapping over to a taarks oil filter relocation kit, so will remove the old stupid extra large oil pressure sensor as I don't have the stock dash and run an aftermarket oil pressure gauge anyway.
  13. Hey all! I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but just wanted to check. The massive oil pressure gauge attached to the oil cooler is only for the dash gauge right? Also what a pain in the butt is it to remove the water to oil cooler/warmer thing
  14. I'm pretty sure that cable runs everything electrical? is there anything spliced off before it?
  15. Yep love the Boba U4 series. Got the U4 silents in my keyboard at work (keychron K2V2)
  16. I got into this during the most recent lockdown..... this is not a cheap hobby! i ended up going full custom, Tofu65 case with a foam insert and the brass weight DZ65 hot swap PCB with the RGB Brass plate with foam between the plate and PCB Boba u4t switches which i pulled apart and lubed the side of the stems and donut dipped the springs (its a tactile switch like an MX brown, but is much more pronounced in the bump, and also has a lot less wobble and have a really nice sound to them) i have temporary keycap set on the moment (AKKO Macaw) while i wait for my GMK striker 2 keycaps to arrive next year (the wait on keycaps is crazy!!!)
  17. Actually I lie the sensor is an LSU 4.9 but made by Bosch for the VW Group...
  18. The mystery just got interesting. Pulled my wideband sensor and it actually doesn't make sense. I have a new Haltech WB1 yet the sensor in the engine bay is a LSU4.2 sensor. This may explain why the sensor always gave me some very weird readings... Not sure why someone would put this sensor in... Hopefully was just a mistake. Have ordered a new LSU4.9 sensor
  19. Just got the injectors back, there was no issue with them, they all flowed the same and the pattern looked good. The fuel filter looked good. I'll probably pull the pump this weekend to check the sock. However, I'm now 90% certain its a failed Wideband. The guys who did the install when I got the new ECU put in just swapped the old o2 sensor for the wideband. Might organise to get a new bung welded in before the cat.
  20. Actually thinking about it logically, it could also just be the wideband sensor acting up... I've heard they start to read lean as they wear out.... It's not overly old (about 18 months) and hasn't actually done all that much milage (2,000kms tops) but I guess it has had a hard life being on the track

  22. Im actually not sure. I've never thought about it as it came with the car and I honestly never really cared that much until now. I'm assuming it's 40 microns, but I am actually not sure. I'm investigating if I get a new mesh so I know for sure. Or if anyone has any other options on appropriate fuel filters. Definately something I am not ignoring now
