  1. Hmmm.... to go or not to go. That tis the question.....
  2. I would probably have to come down for a weekend for sure. Winton is every Friday so that could be the go for now. I was down there on the long weekend. I don't know how you can cope with the cold being from Sydney.
  3. I feel it's time for Team Trackday to invade VIC. I been to Winton and saw a few cars and bikes doing the circuit. How about Phillip island? Any clubs have regular outings there?
  4. Sweet! Have you caught onto the track scene down there yet? I'd like to take the car for a fang around one of the tracks down there.
  5. Refer to this thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=10249 No go.
  6. You living in Melb now Roy? Where abouts?
  7. Company has an opening for a HP UNIX admin. It's in Melbourne though. Nothing much in NSW unless you want a position as a helpdesk dude for 3 months.
  8. It wasn't distributed. Ask him and he'll tell you about it. Backed it up with luggage and all in the back. lol! That's pete for you. If it's got 4 wheels it has to go sideways.
  9. Pete's drive was good until he backed it into a wall at the ring! lol! I was contemplating a clubman at one stage. The biggest worry was not parts which may need to be fabricated. The instructions given to you may not list the parts which need fabrication because there are a variety of engines which you could fit in there. But most common engine is the 4AGE 16V. I was talking to the guy who distrubutes Westfield kits for NSW and he said at the time the 4AGE 20V was not legal because of emissions testing not conducted on the engine.
  10. Ralf isn't going to drive for Williams in 05. Odds are Webber will go to Williams. His contract has a clause where by the USGP, if the Jag isn't competative he can look for another drive. He needs to win the USGP to remain a Jag man in 05.
  11. Ah the days when Prost and Senna were banging wheels! F1 back then was better. The 80's with the turbo cars and all the big names like Lauda, Jones, Mansell and of course, Senna and Prost. It was very simple back then. The cars were rough as guts and racers RACED. Not pit wall racing the cars. If you think the engines are amazing, you should check out the braking systems on these cars. They stop even better than they accelerate. Some stats of last years BMW-Williams FW25: Accelerate from 0 to 192 then decelerate 0 km/h in 7.0secs. 0 - 92km/h in 2.4 seconds. 0 - 200km/h in 5 seconds. but this figure I find most amazing; 200km/h to 0 in 1.9 seconds or 55 meters! Eye popping stuff! With stats like this it's no wonder why you need super-human drivers to pilot such machines.
  12. I've got a PWR radiator and have nothing but praise for it.
  13. Like anything in life. It takes practice. Too many young folks watch a few DVD's/MPEGS/AVI's and think it's all easy-peasy-japanesey. If they've got abit more brians they'll read up on it and then they consider themselves an expert. A family friend of mine brought a turbo Starion and went "drifting" on the day he brought the car in an industrial area (wonder where this influence came from?). Result? Rolled the car twice. The next time I seee him I'll probably lecture him. Lately I'm noticing a lot more AE86's with young faces in it. Anyone else notice this?
  14. I think the GRP A M3 that was raced here was a 3 series fitted with the M3 motor cause back then BMW never sold the M3 version. Maybe the reason for not selling the M3 here is cause they were all LHD and the M3 raced here was a standard 3 series chassis with the M3 engine.
  15. It's a convertable! Forget the S2000, I want this! Fit's more than just 2 mates.
  16. R31 GTS-x with a cheater motor in there. Good luck guys!
  17. In my experience, Michelin Pilot Sport. Probably the same price as the Pirelli.
  18. Another good F1 technical site http://www.scarbsf1.com/
  19. Follow Alonso, Jarno or Frank live and online! http://www.renaultf1.com/en/public/flash/index.php Go to Feel It, click on telemetry and then click on which driver you want.
  20. Ever been in a dark room then come out to the open? It hurts your eyes and your are momentarily blinded. F1 drivers are also human too. Like I said, it was a combination of bother drivers to make this incident happen. It's apart of racing. On a side note, loved how Alonzo flipped the birdy while sliding backwards at Ralf. And I think that Jaguar diamond incident was just some PR stunt to get some attention since Jag can't win. It's certainly working.
  21. Both were just as good as each other. Fair enough he was warming his brakes but to the point where he's locked the wheel? I think that's a little too excessive. Great to see Trulli get his first win though.
  22. Let it roll down a hill and it will be.
  23. I'll post some pics of the pad tomorrow and show you what I mean.
  24. What does it mean? One half of the brake pad has worn out more than the other half. Does this mean that the seals around the brake piston are worn?
