  1. The "foxy" charade look like more fun than any of your cars.
  2. Lets compare a GTR to Schumacher's F2004. I have my money on the GTR cause it's 4WD and "handles" better. Don't forget. GTR's are God's gift to the automotive industry!
  3. Wow.... I'm impressed with the MR2 lap times.
  4. MX5. Front engine/RWD. Excellent balanced car and nothing beats an open top. But it really lacks space so I hope you don't have too many friends that need a lift.
  5. Why do people think the GTR is the bee's knees of all cars? I'm no 1/4 mile expert so I won't compare there, but in terms of a track car, the Mclarens F1, Porsche 911 GT/2/3, etc... are in a class of their own. Next people will be comparing the GTR to Schumacher's F2004.
  6. WRX is no fun. I came from one and it really hid the fact that I wasn't all that fantasic behind the wheel. The GTR taught me and taught me well. In my opinion, the GTR will always be more the drivers car, especially in V spec form. If you want something for the road, it's split with the S15 or the R34. I like the look of the S15 but they seem more common than R34's. Maybe it's just where I live???
  7. Leave apple alone. I have fond memories of the apple IIe. The only real PC apple made!
  8. I'm guessing you've got Racebrakes RB74 or Comp 9 compound brake pads from Race brakes. If so this is just how they are. I've use both these compounds and while they offer excellent braking power, they are very dusty and noisy. It's a compromise situation.
  9. What was that car that Jim Richards and Mark Skaife race in Bathurst then????
  10. Just get that Ferrari! You know you want it.... j/k How about a ae88 corolla? Uncle (mechanic) really recommends this little bugger.
  11. Bit late too but happy birthday!
  12. This is a very good site for those who want to get down to the nitty gritty technical side of F1. www.f1technical.net
  13. I volunteer to be the team panel beater. Give me a hammer and 2 mins and it'll be brand spanking new! I'll throw in a few stickers to make it faster!
  14. Didn't the R34 GTR have some sort of variable valve?
  15. Track racing? Simple! Tyres. Dunlop DJ01.
  16. I've used P-Zero (assymetrical), Michelin Pilot Sports, Yokohama A spec and some Federal crap. Forget the last 2. Cheap, last long but that's not what performance tyres are about. P-Zero seems to have a stiffer side walls than the Pilot Sports. The rear end likes to come out more with the P-zero while the pilot sport just squats and grips, grips and grips. It's hard to find the limits of the pilot sports on the road so may have to so one last track day. The Michilen gets my vote.
  17. New GSXR750 if you're going to do track days. It's not as heavy as a 1000cc bike, the chassis is the same as the GSXR600 and is only 1kg heavier than the 600. Oh, and on paper it can clock 299km/h. But that's only cause the speedo stops there.
  18. I think any of the more experienced drivers will tell you that driving is something that takes years to master. Not a few weeks. I use to think I was fast out on the circuit. Now I realise how slow I was.
  19. The wiser person would say B. If you rent it out you may have to add a bit on top for the monthly repayments. It adds equity to your name as a home owner. A good 2 or 3 years later you can go back to the loan company and ask for that R34 GTR Nur and extra if you want to mod it. That way you get all A, B and C.
  20. I wish people would just see through the fact that GTR's don't drive like they're on rails. People need to drive one before they comment. Every car has it's own handling characteristics.
  21. There could be a slim few who would insure you. I say Just Cars and Suncorp. But they don't tell you directly they don't want your business. They'll just give you a nice $10k per year to let you know your not wanted.
  22. I'm heading over soon and on my to do list is to drive a Dodge Viper. V10.... oh baby!
  23. Yep! Mrs. Palmer and her 5 daughters. :whackit:
