  1. You bum! Have time to go to EC but no time to get your hands dirty! Pansy boy! Take the plugs out and get some sand paper and lightly sand the top and see if that does the trick. If not then it's not your plugs.
  2. Before I sign the final papers I like to drive the car just to make sure all is fine. This is pretty much the point of no return as once they have your signiture and money they could've give a rats ass.
  3. Yes I know the current season hasn't even finish, but I just wanted to give all a heads up cause tickets/accomodation is impossible as the date closes in. Please register your interest. 4. Good stuff!is it the same blokes who impersonated the Queen of England when Canada had an election on independence?
  5. I remember reading in the papers that some chinese bloke forked out some serious cash on a set of plates. They we're just "888" I think. Supposed to be good luck or something.
  6. I just brought 3 bottles from them last weekend. Of course I had to buy the "Skyline" honey wine!
  7. Prank, You don't need a sump as the g's you induce on normal road tyres don't cause the oil to tip enough to one side. But I understand it's a precautionary thing as you don't want to pop a motor.
  8. Don't hate me Tosh but I did no work for 2 days! I was happy as Larry. But I know how users are. They have to blame something so point out to them that it's an I-D-ten-T (ID10T) problem.
  9. I've only got one simple pic right now but I'll make a website which should be up soon with all the things I've listed. Pic
  10. The time has come to depart with my loved one.... I'll be up front and say that one of the gasket between the head and turbo is gone but I will fix before she leaves me for good. Also I'll get the car totally detailed exterior/interior/engine bay in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Don't ask if I will seperate things. The motor and turbo's were rebuilt at 70,000kms because of a faulty AFM. Now showing 128,000kms.
  11. Great stuff! Shall cruise down with the new Echo and see if they can get me on anything.
  12. You can get the gear from revolution racegear. Not sure if their in adelaide. Got the adaptor plate (goes on the engine block), the remote oil filter plate (move that pesky filter to a more suitable location) and the cooler from them. Can't remember how much the cooler was but the plates weren't that expensive. I ended up using another cooler as I need a larger one but you can still get bigger ones there. Other than that you need to get the lines elsewhere. I got mine from earl's. Braided lines at $90/meter I think.....
  13. So long as the car goes sideways, I'm down!
  14. pete, did u buy it from japan or from someone here?
  15. Fatz picked up a R31 pimp-mobile under the 15 year rule I think.
  16. On the race track you learn very quickly how much the role of a driver makes the car fast. I can honestly say now that I don't judge how fast a car is by it's badge but by the nutbag behind the wheel. But as the others are saying, ignorance is bliss!
  17. Standard bushes aid in making the car more smoother and quite. Ie. reduce NVH levels. Adding pineapples may increase NVH levels as your stiffening up the suspension, also replacing OEM bushes with aftermarket ones increase NVH. It's a trade off just like many parts of the car.
  18. With ECU like Mines, are they pre programmed from Mines or do they have to tune each and every car as all cars vary?
  19. sways = stabaliser bar = anti-roll bars. Other things you can improve on are bushes. Most factory bushes are too soft and get worse with time. This improves the feel of the car. Shocks with matched springs also help. And tyres and brakes. Tyres are the only part of the car that touch the road so their role in handling is absolutly critical to the suspension.
  20. The true cost of track days are a little cheaper cause you have to divide the cost and fitting of tyres over a few track days as you must me drifting alot of wear them out in one track day. Also the cost for a set of brake pads as mine usually last 3 track days. I also find that you don't need octane boosters. Wheel bearing on a 32 gtr is about 300 bucks.
  21. Not sure when it applies but also the cost of storage when your car is impounded, plus court fees if applicable, insurance costs when you do get your license back.
  22. Sounds like you have a I-D-1-0-T problem there.
