  1. m8, how long can you hold onto the clutch and flywheel? What model r32's is the clutch for? 89-92 or 93-94?
  2. Anybody know the average figures or own one of these cars? Have to make a decision on which one very soon. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
  3. Here's something interesting. Women are more likely to cause an explosion while filling up petrol. This is because there are more likely to have dry skin which for some reason cause the person to be statically charged. Static electricity + fumes from fuel = sky high pie. Very odd chance but still possible. Maybe you have dry skin? I do and I get static all the time especially during winter.
  4. V8 Supercars are nothing like their road going counterpart, and so was the Gibson GTR. Current crop of V8 supercars are quicker than the Gibson GTR around Bathurst.
  5. R34 held the title for a short while till the gt3 put it back in it's place. Not bad for something that's hardly mentioned around the word "supercar". Still, a Porsche is a Porsche. I'll own one one day. Will sell right nut just to have one...... Maybe not!
  6. Well well, thanks to this guy the general public has gone bonkers and the cops have to make it out that they're hard at work. So what are they doing? This! It's going to suck but the good side of this is that it even applies to drink drivers.
  7. Well, it shows that that car can litterally fly down the straight.
  8. Heat is a problem because of the lack of space under the bonnet.
  9. I'm looking at a chaser. Looks like a 4 door showdown!
  10. sways are about 250 from whiteline.
  11. If HICAS is playing up, just get rid of it. It's too messy trying to fix it as most mechanics have no idea what it is or how it works. I like the idea that I'm controlling the rear end, not some computer correcting me while I'm correcting it, and it's correcting me while...... you get the idea.
  12. Don't bother cutting springs. It's down right dangerous!
  13. I like the Merc CLK GTR.
  14. Way back before the dawn of time (I.E. Before SAU started and we were all in SDU) someone took the inititive to test all 3 fuels and in terms of the RON ratings they were all pretty close with no major winner between the 3 of them. BP was first, then Mobil 8000 then Optimax. All over the 98 RON mark. What was more interesting was the chemical content within the fuels. I can't remember what contained what but Optimax had other additives and stuff. I think it was supposed to be a bad thing but don't quote me on that. I've since tried to find the thread but it's gone to Thread Heaven... However I feel that you should stick with what you think. All 3 aren't bad and it's not like your going to gain massive HP by running [insert fuel brand here]. People have had different experiences with all fuels some run better on this, others on that.
  15. :werd: Many people mistaken WRX's that they have "good handling" when it's grip they have. Atleast the early WRX's that I know of.
  16. I think it's about 400 bucks for CAMS license and some more because you have to either do a course or do an observed license test (OLT) with CAMS.
  17. Your too entertaining to go on 2 wheels. Can't picture you drifting on a bike. Pete in a pimp mobile is like fitting a circle into a square. Or like warm beer. It's just not on! Go the bimmer! You know you want one.
  18. Strut bars go over the engine bay. Sway bars are underneath the car. Plus you get more rice factor out of strut bars! I think sways are about 250 or so. If it's for a RWD car you probably only need one for the front suspension. If you want to go do track days then front and rear.
  19. Before I put sways on my car, I put strut bars front and rear and hardly noticed any difference in the car. From my understanding strut bars increase the rigidy of the chassis. On my WRX when I put one in the front I noticed a slightly better turn in on corner entry though body roll didn't change. Thus you can conclude that the Skylines have a better chassis to start off with which is why there is little difference. The biggest improvement was the sway bars cause the car is much more sharper on entry and the ammount of roll is reduced.
  20. They are bushes that prelock the subframe of the rear diff. Go to www.whiteline.com.au and check them out.
  21. They come is a pack of 6 (4 small rings and 2 big rings) though you only need 4. Because you get to select what kind of setup you want.
  22. The running costs of the S15 probably be no different than the WRX. If you want to save money then the Prelude is the wiser choice. On a performance note, the WRX has plenty of grip but the chassis is not as good as the Prelude.
  23. If you want more cornering grip, swaybars.
  24. Buy an ex f3 car..... if you can get both your butt cheeks in one seat! :bahaha:
