  1. i got a ford el falcon 02 sensor from my local repco shop for around $110 it was definetly way under $180 - just ask for a generic 02 sensor to suit ford el falcon
  2. ford el falcon 02 sensor works fine on R33 GTST many have done so in the past and still working fine my R33 has PFC and has ford el falcon 02 sensor and still going fine in most automotive shops its easier to ask for a ford el falcon 02 sensor as its more common if you say its a 1997 R33 Skyline they go - that car doesnt exist, or "isnt that 1987" - ie: R31 is only on their system the sensor used in the R33 is a generic 3 wire 02 sensor, same as the ford el falcon 02 sensor so its much easier to ask for a ford part cos its on all of the computers and they all stock it, plus it would be a cheaper part too the ford el falcon one supplied will be a generic 02 sensor and not a specific ford part in a ford box with a ford plug just a plain jane 3 wire 02 sensor with wires the wires are heater, heater and signal so the two that are the same colour are part of the heater circuit and the unique colour wire is the 02 signal wire (to the ecu) as long as you match up the unique to unique and the two same colour wires to the two same on the loom you cant go wrong
  3. no need to be sorry its just im kinda over a trillion pms a week about the same stuff over and over especially given its covered to death and detail in the pfc faq already -thats the point of it your questions were fine as they arent common and arent listed in the faq
  4. first post updated - please read the first post on this page before you post in here
  5. how hard did you look or try? this is why i no longer accept pms http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/...erfc-faq.htm#39 if in doubt get a mechanic who has done a djetro install to do it if you get it wrong, you risk frying the ecu and other sensors
  6. there's a secret mode that nissan built into the std ecu to enable a secret hidden power mode in the ecu its only valid for 26secs and 33milliseconds each time you enable so make sure your on race track when you try it when you start the car put the left indicator on, then the right, then hold down demister button for 30 seconds the ecu detects this secret combination and the engine light will flash - this indicates the special mode is on the japs know about this hack and they use it in their 300km/h runs down the tunnels in tokyo you will notice the duration of the secret mode represents the nissan GTR engine capacity and the more dominant skyline model, the R33 skyline this is by no means a conincedence and it was a secret mode developed by one of the nissan tech's who was later made redundant, but his secret was still built into the ecu
  7. haha sounds like fun so far have a good one guys
  8. some advice - how is the event advertised? - has it been offered to other car clubs? - if you arent on the forums how would u know about this event? - are there any incentives for previous guys who attended the last texikhana - ie : discount etc? - have you got any sponsors to help cover costs? - be careful and ensure posts come across as constructive and not immature - i can see heaps of silly posts in this thread, which likely place doubt and 'uncertainty' for those considering the event - what documentation / information is available for those who might be interested in attending?
  9. use the search button
  10. its two seperate things - one is the hks intercooler piping and the other is the hks hard pipe kit the hard pipe kit is the twin turbo replacement pipe from memory
  11. wastegate flap stuck open intercooler pipework loose or leaking vac lines loose or leaking basically its leaking pressure or the wastegate is always open thus the turbocharger nevers gets to spin fast enough and doesnt build any positive pressure
  12. the bogon burger looks bigger have you tried that
  13. 1. no it cant, the normal powerfc expects an afm, the djetro version expects a map sensor, you cant mix and match 2. this is covered in the powerfc faq to death, there is a massive topic on datalogit, i suggest looking in there - the url is on page 1 of this thread or in my signature
  14. search on google or my site for pin out diagrams for the rb20 ecu then you just need to find the TPS signal wire should take you all of 30 seconds searching in google or the forums for rb20 pin out diagram the wire is labelled "TPS" as you would expect
  15. what about buying them and splitting it up as two seperate turbochargers surely you could sell those in single form for $1000 each ?
  16. i am no longer accepting pm's any more - i've had enough if you want to know something about the powerfc search in the faq if its not in there i dont know the answer ive had too many pm's over the past few years people dont put in the effort to search thanks

    Meets?

    are you in gladstone park
  18. have a read of the apexi powerfc FAQ its in my signature in the main index look for "changing airflow meters" and follow the link
  19. yeah the dell switch is fine, they are always chepa check that it does jumbo frames and check the server or nas you are buyting does jumbo otherwise you may as well stick with normal 100mbps is the hp server big and loud? i was goign to get an old dell powervault or poweredge nas server but its a big clunky box thats loud and blows lots of hot air not suitable fora small study in a house
  20. go nuts most of the catalyst switches will do etherchannel but keep in mind most of the nas boxes wont support etherchannel not to mention actually sustain more than 1GBPS of throughout the only nas box that will sustain over 1GBPS and do etherchannel is going to be a true scsi or SAS based array and it would be a $5k box easy all of the cheap NAS boxes which take 1,2,3 or 4 sata drives usually run an embedded linux os so its software raid instead of a ram chip backed raid setup so the performance is pretty ordinary it would be unreasonable to expect near gigabit performance from a setup like that they come with gigabit mainly cos its probably cheaper than 100mb chipset my dlink 323 has a gigabit port and the most it can sustain is about 80mbps after that its starts to max its cpu when running smbd it might be a touch faster with NFS but its main bottleneck is CPU its only a little embedded ARM cpu at 300mhz so its not geared up for it
  21. how much do you want to spend whats important to you what engine / turbo setup what do you expect from the ecu
  22. what ECU? if your using an apexi powerfc you can select the VG30 afms from the AFM menu and your all set for the nismo items the car will be fine on base tune to drive around, avoid thrashing the pants off it, but normal driving will be fine if its another ecu then just baby it around until you can get it fully tuned
  23. yeah thats why i said its pointless for home use mainly but if you want to do it, do it properly :0 ive got a 3512 at home for my lan 12 x 100mb and 2 x gigabit
  24. happy birthday and all the best so many birthdays in august!!!! take it easy guys and see you soon
