    Engine Damage

myth busters ahoy! there is no issue running a car empty the pump sits on the bottom, with a sock and sucks from the bottom regardless of volume of fuel in the tank there is no magical mud on the bottom of a tank and if there is your pump is sucking it all the time, cos its the bottom theres also an inline filter in the engine bay on the fuel line too fuel injected engines dont need special tactics to "get them working" again once you have ran a car out of petrol just put some fuel in, turn the car to ACC let it prime and it should start first crank
  5. the easiest way is the apexi power intake for stock afm the z32 is the same bolt pattern as the stock afm, you just need the z32 plug (vl afm plug is same) if you go for the q45 is 90mm so nothing mates up
  6. this one here http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm100/smafrcombo/ you can see on the wb02 the power connector has a coupler, so it cant come undone if the unit looses power while running, youll risk the 02 sensor as the heater circuit needs to be live
  7. yeah the wb02 stuff looks ace, i really dislike the power connector on that unit on the previous page, looks like it would come out of the socket very easily that would be fatal to the 02 sensor if it did come out
  8. well done guys and congrats good news for the club
  9. looks good, well done and congrats a bit of a mission
  10. be sure to pay attention to the wideband sensors installation and operation instructions i mean, actually read them, pay note to the location, mounting position and direction of the 02 sensor in the exhaust incorrect mounting and angle can really trash the expensive sensor, i think they also need direct 12v ign power as they must heat up before running exhaust gas

    My First Dyno

the stock boost guage is in mmhg not boost or psi it goes from -760mmhg to 760mhg when its near -500 at idle, its becuase the engine is in vacuum when it words its way towards zero and past zero, the engine is in positive boost so +5 is 500mmhg which is 9.6psi

    My First Dyno

without spending any $ instantly read the dual stage boost hack in the tutorial section this will make the car run 9psi from memory all the time, the auto runs less boost than the manual, so your missing some power too
  13. a bit of a sidestep but the powerfc faq covers how to use the Q45 and XF throttle body and what TPS to use the PFC runs and expects the TPS the same as the stock ecu, so it might help
  14. you only splice one wire, which is the stock 02 sensor wire the other wire you might be thinking of is the handbrake wire
  15. 3400rpm 600nm 4000rpm 720nm 4500rpm 800nm 5100rpm 850nm 5700rpm 870nm 6200rpm 800nm 6800rpm 750nm 7400rpm 700mm
  16. are you after a torque graph? the first post has torque
  17. sandy the duty is the ratio of the solenoid being opened and closed so a higher value, means the solenoid is closed more, which means it holds more boost the lower the number, the less you should have, well as least inline with the target boost so if you set say 1.0kgcm2 and 50 duty and it ramps to 1.2kgcm2 instantly your duty is too high, ie: it's closed too much, and the actuator doesnt progressively open enough, so it opens finally, and its too late, its way over so if you set say 1.0kgcm2 and 30 duty and it climbs slowly but only gets to 0.80kgcm2 your duty is too low, ie; its open too much, and the actuator opens early and just lets all the pressure out
  18. read these and then if your question isn't answered, ask it specifically here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Kk...tml&hl=ebay http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ga...tml&hl=ebay http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Eb...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pl...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/T3...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Kk...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Eb...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Eb...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Kk...l&hl=monsta http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...l&hl=monsta
  19. let us know if you need a lift
  20. will be there looking forward to the guest speaker, spot on
  21. id say the shuffling is as GTR said is from the twin scrolling style setup, across the manifolds when you use the balance pipe, it does as the name implies, balances the exhaust gas across the manifolds but that probably gives a drawback and takes away the splilt pulse style setup
  22. its a long way to go whats the plan for the time over there ?
  23. yeah 150 sounds about right across the board as an average sounds like the results are bogus
  24. if you want cool gadgets check out the prosport gauges on youtube.com
