  1. no sorry ive explained it wrong compressor surging known and heard as "fluttler" when coming on boost is a result of the pressure in the manifold going past the compressors effiency, ie the compress map says in the best scenario it can flowing at best 16psi of compression, but for some reason the manifold pressure is say 18psi so the compressors surge resulting in vl turbo style flutter on boost, ie: the compressors are out of effeiency and surging / erractic operation / wobble comrpessor chuffing is usually caused by aftermarket pods and piping kits to the stock turbo's. basically the air reverbates and chops past the airflow meter, so it runs like a bitch. this is common with say 2530s and custom piping and pods. not very common on stockers i dont think, but certainly possible
  2. does it compressor chuff when coming on boost? like think of the vl turbo flutter noise on gearchange or throttle close is it like that, when coming on boost
  3. we are so in
  4. agreed, go the vl turbo auto box. jatco 3 speed im pretty sure its a mech box so no need to worry about what ecu to use
  5. this comes up often do we want to start a tuner database
  6. what air intake? ---> stock box and filter? stock snorke? twin pods? tried ecu reset? tried running normal levels of boost instead of 1bar?
  7. if you havent voted yet, get your votes in people!!
  8. it works, but the tune data is different it might just feel flat and empty i had a series 1 remap on my car it worked, but mega boggy + laggy so i guess u could say it didnt
  9. given that the stock can't even wind up 1bar at 3k i dont see how a slower unit than the stocker can bring on more boost earlier. but yeah why not just contact them for a dyno sheet?
  10. AFM voltage is very high for idle 2.24 is like half of the q45 throughput it should be near like 1 or even less leave it idle, rev it let it return to idle repeat that a few times does the AFM drop to the same normal value each time it resumes idle? or it does bounce voltages each time it drops to idle
  11. yeah post up a picture, thats fine by black i mean the sensor name is highlighted in black, not black dots. black dot means the relay or switch is turned on, empty dot means its off. so a black dot in FP1 means Fuel Pump Relay 1 is on
  12. whats AFM voltage at idle? whats TPS voltage at idle? anything black in SENSOR SW/CHECK ? confirm you have VH41 selected in AFM table selection
  13. this should be in the drag section most of this has probably been covered a few times in there
  14. what auto box is it? the r33 one? if so its electronic which will mean most ecu's aren't suitable as they are manual only ecu's
  15. its definetly a drag slip
  16. one is a piggyback one is a stand alone engine management system the powerfc faq covers these questions its in my signature
  17. what boost are u running
  18. Was nice meeting you guys, was great to put names to faces. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Melbourne and have a good one
  19. yes we will be doing our best to have the z tune at the last of events for the year. from our last discussions on the commitee its already booked in.
  20. plot fuel press from the regulator on a dyno run with afrs should isolate the gremlin
  21. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=124080 have a read, it will cover all the questions you have
  22. the kkr units are a poor choice plain bearing, oil cooled only these are more suitable choices highflow hks gtrs garrett gt2871
  23. well at least so i was told, the workshop could have been feeding me crap. i dont go there anymore, was ages ago. long long time ago
  24. 193rwkw the stocker pump was leaning out around 170 ish 0.80bar it couldnt keep up
