  1. aren't stock r32/r33 GTR intercoolers black?
  2. well if you are going to lower your car then it might be a good thing to consider who wants a 'high' sitting exhaust? me...
  3. bump anyone have any?
  4. congrats mate! how did you get to the air regulator? what did you have to take off? would be great if you could write a how-to and help the skyline community cheers, Waz.
  5. looking for the rear pods off an R32 skyline. any colour any condition PM or can email [email protected] cheers, Warren.
  6. g'day mate do you have the rear right window winder? if yes how much? PM me please cheers, Warren
  7. g'day mate i'm after the rear pods do you have them? will they fit a gtst? (i assume rear of the car is the same as the gts4) price? colour of car? PM me please cheers, Warren.
  8. maybe its a fuel delivery issue? fuel pump / regulator? could be the AAC valve. if its sticking then all sorts of idle issues... but that wouldn't explain the accelerator issue hope that helps Warren.
  9. 'quiet' for one person = 'loud' for another what's my point? get a custom-made exhaust from a reputable exhaust shop and choose exactly how loud you want it a $2000 brand-name piece of pipe doesn't automatically flow better than a similarly-shaped custom $600 jobbie... you can test a number of muddlers to find one you like if you don't want a cannon one. but then again, some people just have to have the brand name...
  10. my ignitor (rb20) has a heat sink too so it wasn't something changed over time from what i understood the leaving off of the cover was to let heat out as the coils are covered in plastic which cracks under extreme heat that being said, the ingitor has a ground wire which requires the coil pack cover to be in place... i think most people cut the cover right after the ignitor so that the cover is basically 90% gone with just the ignitor part left at the far end hope that answered the question... cheers, Warren
  11. no, the same rims also shared with the aus-sepc maxima of the mid 90's...
  12. when i bought my R32gtst it had r33 rims on it... so the answer is yes
  13. hey that's such a coencidence. i went to the drags last night with my mate's hyundai excel and ran a 7.89sec quarter. it was black with stickers and just did one run then we left because we were too fast to tell anyone about! (think anyone will believe me?? )
  14. no that was not sarcasm... i was genuinely happy to someone benefit from the forums
  15. PS your radiator is stock... calsonic is on many parts in the rb20 (i think its a parts manufacturer in japan for nissan or something)
  16. left circle: bacuase you have a braided hose coming from the radiator... (normally just rubber) middle circle: its a hose going to that aftermarket blow-off valve located on the intercooler piping to tell it when to open and when not too right circle: its the carbon cannister which is part of the emmission regulation or something. collects fuel vapour i think hope that helps, Waz.
  17. thank god for the forums... imagine where you would be without them?
  18. if you are going to change the oil yourself and don't want nissan to 'find out' (re warranty) then be careful of the oil filter. make sure you use a nissan one and check that the original one wasn't orientated specifically to line up with anything... who knows? they might position it specifically to see if people are fiddling with the car...? alternatively you could just change the oil without the filter (i know its not ideal but its better than not changing the oil, right?) cheers, Warren.
  19. if you get an older second hand exhaust chances are the baffels will be gone and the exhaust will be loud anyway. what are your reasons that a HKS exhaust is the quietest available? is it just what you've been told? what's loud to one person is quiet to another... i had a 3" cat-back exhaust custom made for my car and it included a 3" stainless cannon muffler and hotdog resonator. its very quiet (in my opinion). i had the option of many mufflers and could have swapped to whatever i wanted before it was welded on so i could choose how loud i wanted it. or i could have gone without a resonator if that was my preference. total cost was $540. BRAND NEW. exactly how i wanted it. that's the beauty of custom made. if you have had bad experiences with exhausts why not get one exactly how you want it? i would hate to see you spend $2000 on a HKS/TRUST/apexi exhaust then sell it on the forums fot $1500 because its too loud for you... then you're back to square one. some exhaust shops are better than others - ask around for ones that have done skylines before or where people have gone to before... then again, some people just have money burning a hole in their pocket and i could trun blue in the face trying to say that cheaper apples taste the same as more expensive apples but to no avail.. good luck, Waz.
  20. when you adjust the idle screw on the AAC i think you have to take the plug off (should be maroon in colour), then adjust the screw, then replace the plug cheers, Warren.
  21. hey guys after some help about my new TT... i just bought an apexi turbo timer second hand from the forums. its a good little unit as it has just the basic essentials without the extra crao i don't need does anyone have this particular TT or the instructions for it? (see pic) it has 2 plugs to connect it to the car... they seem to look like you would find a plug in the car, open that one, and splice this unit in between the old plug by connecting these plugs to the opened plug on the car. where can i find the plug to connect it? and also, if anyone has this aprticular unit, what wires are for what and is it compatible with my alarm or do i have to wire a relay? cheers, Warren.
  22. roy sad to hear your indecent thoughts what about your poor rb20... how did you break it to her? she has feelings too remember...
  23. is that near st lucia? 4076 was my new postcode i thought...
  24. my first ride in a turbo'd skiline was when i test drove my current car i had just driven a V8 soarer and a TT soarer so jumping into the stock auto r32 felt a bit slow. ended up buying it mainly because of its reliability, but glad as hell i did now the best purchase i have ever made...
  25. in that position i have the dimmer for my dash lights so i dunno... but good luck
