  1. i sold a set about a year ago they guy that i sold them to said they were $250 from nissan hope that helps Waz.
  2. anyone want to sell me an rb26? i am a student so my budget is around $300. it doesn't have to be modded, just a stock on will do. preferrably with ECU and loom... sorry, couldn't resist dharvin... your best bet for $100 is an old rb20 turbo which may not be in great condition
  3. ha ha year right mate up drinking all night is far from a weak excuse "i broke a nail" is the weakest excuse ever!
  4. i'd be there, but have my uni ball tonight and don't plan on even being sober at that time tomorrow
  5. definately SPEED
  6. i think he's an "armchair tuner"...
  7. owned '87 MA70 totyota supra with a 7M-GE and all its headgasket-blowing goodness... '92 R32 GTSt and have driven the family's cars: mum's R31 skyline (learnt in this on my L's), bro's 300zx TT, dad's 86 corvette (not much though) Warren.
  8. monash... my old stomping ground... well, we all move on eventually! say hi to frank and lilly lee for me! (they still there?)
  9. i'm glued!
  10. mine popped out also as you mentioned i just used 5 minute aryldite and it works a treat! cheers, Warren.
  11. can't you just get a 'spacer plate' made? like a metal plate that it about 1 inch thick and bolts onto the T3 flange on one side and T25 on the other? making it fit perfectly?
  12. there's not a lot of medical ground for that. you see, alcohol travels in the blood. the way the body gets rid of it is: - by metabolising it in the liver - by excreting it in your urine, breath, sweat so in theory, drinking 2L of water will cause you to urinate more and excrete more alcohol. in theory sweating a lot could also cause some alcohol to be excreted.... ...but the reality is that the amount that you would lose is pretty insignificant and the main determinant of how your body gets rid of alcohol is the metabolic capacity of your liver. BAC tests measure the amount of alcohol excreted in your breath (in your lungs, the blood travels very close to the air (<0.05um), exchanging many things with it). drinking 2L of water has NO direct masking effect on the way the test measures your BAC cheers, Warren
  13. in answer to your question... bad luck, you can take no legal action against anyone if fact, you should be shot for having a drink when you know you are going to be driving later and putting others on the road at risk
  14. don't lie... you didn't do a search
  15. its a common problem on the 300zx with the ignitor engien heats up, solder that holds a wire in the ignitor melts causing to lose connection and car cuts out. let the engine cool and the solder re-forms and the connection is again made check out www.aus300zx.com for more info, or get a new ignitor cheers, Warren.
  16. i can HIGHLY recommend you check out: Performance Jap Specialist 4B merri court, campbellfield 9357 0658 the guy's name is Prassana and he is a LEGEND he has and R32 half-cut that he dismantled a few months ago and had the dash vents and some other parts at that stage still i bought my m-spec side skirts off this place: Japanese Special Vehicles: 353 settlement road, thomastown 9466 4499 they also have other parts so try them good luck! Warren.
  17. www.carmate.com.au www.nismo.com.au www.jetspeed.com.au www.justjap.com.au they're the only ones i know about and probably the cheapest way to do it alternatively, keep your eye out in the FS section for a second-hand jobbie... good luck, Warren.
  18. all i can say is prassana is a legend - a genuine bloke. not often you find this with import parts salesperson...
  19. i recommend a turbo timer... not a multi-display TT unit reason? will you actually use those features? will you even get them connected up? i bought a $40 (older) apexi turbo timer of the forums and it is just a machine that lets the car 'run down'. took me 2 hours to install myself (only a screwcriver and electrical tape and on the side of the road in 30deg heat!)... to get the fancy ones to work might need an auto electrition to hook up all that crap. most people end up hiding their TT or putting it in an obscure location anyway which makes it impossible to see the screen anyway when driving to use the fancy features... --> so, i say don't pay for what you won't use, but hey that's just my opinion! cheers, Warren.
  20. what about a cousin? the reason i have asked so many questions is that we have just moved up from melb and looking for a workshop to call our 'regular mechanic' he has a jeep and is looking for a fairly major service sometime soon and you seem like a top bloke and have had good feedback we shall definately pay you a visit sometime, i especially want my auto trannie serviced + gasket done (as mentioned) so i shall PM you when the time comes... cheers, Warren.
  21. if you are looking for a source of engines, check out this place: Performance Jap Specialist 4B merri court, campbellfield VIC (03) 9357 0658 they guy who runs it is Prassana he is a great guy and has heaps of engines there (not sure if your particulr one, but it only takes one phone call) cheers, Warren.
  22. i painted mine also: - i took them off, this only takes 2 minutes. there is a bolt (about 14mm) that hold sthe end down. take that bolt off. then you need to press down at the closest join which is a spring-loaded bend.that allows you to slide the wiper arm off with ease! - then i took off the wiper blade just leaving the metal - next, i took out a wire brush and removed as much crap as i could - then i gave it a coat of 'etch primer' - then i gave it a sand - next i got some string and tied the string to the end that the bolt went through and hung them from the roof of my garage. the garage was empty and large - next, i got a can of touch-up paint (same colour as my car - dark blue) and over the period of about 3 hours i gave it 5 or so coats of paint - i let them dry overnight - then i bought new wiper blades in 'silicone blue' and chucked them on came up awesome and 6 months later no sign of fading! even in the queensland sun! cheers, Warren.
  23. i had eyelids for a while... i just taped around the shape i wanted with masking tape and newspaper then gave it about 5 or 6 coats with touch-up paint from supercheap that was a very close colour match... never had an issue with peeling etc. even through the melbourne winter! cheers, Warren.
  24. hey mark good to hear its finished! after the car troubles you have had in the past good to see you back on the road cheers, Warren.
