  1. yeah what i wrote wasn't in the right order... more like FIX PINGING then exhaust he basically put it on the dyno then started running it a bit and stopped and said it was pinging and that i wouldn't get a power figure. he chucked in some additive and ran it just to be able to give me a figure but it was still pinging he said. i couldn't hear it myself but glad i took it out today to find the problem.
  2. just arrived home from the dyno day - great to see plenty of cars out there even though it was bloody freezing! a big thanks to skylinesteve for organising the day and the bbq... everyone post up their figures and pics (saw RedlineGTR and riggaP both with cameras plus probably some more ppl also) had my car on there with its pissy little stock cat-back exhaust. was pinging and they thought the bast timing was out. put some octane booster in but still pinging. pumped out a MASSIVE 108rwkw (with a free serve of ping) but gives me some sort of base when i fit my 3" cat-back and fix my pinging (i supect dodgy fuel pump myself) cheers, Warren. oh did anyone get a shot of my car on the dyno? if they did can they email it to me: [email protected], thanks.
  3. on my r32 i have a FMIC and the standard airbox. not sure where the pipes you mention run into the stock airbox location, maybe could you post some pics?
  4. if you search around your local exhaust shops then you will find that $700 for custom piping is a bit steep i paid $250...
  5. will try and make it on the way home from uni... is there going to be someone taking minutes for hose that don't attend?
  6. either that or there was another inherant problem that caused it and wasn't being addressed...
  7. for r32 or r33?? selling pods and rear bar separately?? cheers, Waz.
  8. well i will be lucky to put 120rwkw on the board but am dragging myself up there for a run... see you guys there!
  9. yeah that was the plugs - put the old ones back in (although same brand, same code) and it started first time!
  10. agreed. i think the general consensus is that @ 14psi you are pushing not only the flow capacity of the turbo, but also the life of the exhaust wheel people generally run around 12psi feeling that this offers the best power for turbo reliability (also, a search would yield quite a few threads on this matter) Waz.
  11. if you didn't get what you paid for, go and get your money back off him!
  12. i like it! why, you ask? well its flattery... armani (sp?) wears copy armani suits because he thinks its a compliment to the fact that he makes top quality suits. and just like this, its a compliment that commonwhore owners that put these lights on their cars actually wish they were driving a skyline and respect our cars
  13. haha i wouldn't pay more than 15k for an R33! buying an R34 is not just buying a newer car, you are also paying for a much better shape and interior design. if looks are anything then the R33 shouldn't even be considered against the R34 in my opinion... also, can you get teh R34GT-T in bayside blue or was that limited to the GTRs? that would look sweet......... best of luck with the buy!
  14. what is Hard Kandy and where do i find it? sounds like a rave to me! :rave: or maybe a gentlemans club?? :boobies2:
  15. i have checked the ECU error codes in the diagnostic check but not via consult... you have consult?? are you going to be at the dyno day on sunday?? i would love to plug my baby in and see what it comes up with...
  16. well as this has been a long-standing problem i have tried lots of stuff (most probably irrelevant to the problem, but hey i tried, right?): - cleaning AAC valve - cleaning AFM - adjusting TPS - re-grounding fuel pump - cleaning carbon off the O2 sensor - changing fuel filter - reset ECU - checked coil packs (although 'Roy' suggested this is better done when they are warm) and for the record, the O2 sensor was an NGK one with the part number "0A08" on it... Waz.
  17. you can buy BCPR6ES from supercheap @ 3.99 each...
  18. well its official that i won't have my 3" exhaust on by then so will have to run it with the stocker 2.25" at least it will give a base figure so i can quantify the gain i get with the exhaust! looking forward to my first dyno day...
  19. i thought the spec R had a different diff, making it heavier than the spec S?
  20. where are you located? if in melbourne, i'm interested wiling to sell just the cat-back senction? can you please email me: [email protected] cheers, Waz.
  21. where are you located? if in VIC, i'm interested in 3" exhaust cat-back please send price and pics to: [email protected] cheers, Warren.
  22. isn't BCPR6ES-11 the exact same plug as the PFR6A-11 except copper instead of platinum...? i think so... i chose the copper option for my own reasons
  23. i have an r32gtst standard i/c including piping if you want a cheap upgrade from the top-mount item... my bro used to have an R31 (although with the vg30e) and it wass a nice car to drive and nice inside for and older car the 200zr looks much 'smoother' though great idea and good luck with the buy! Waz.
  24. i have a very similar problem but after checking the resistance on my coils (all are ~1.3 ohm) i think i have narrowed it to being the O2 sensor... might want to check that out also good luck, Waz.
  25. that link is to NA engines not turbo engines (i have an rb20det) also, i know they are the right ones as when i bought the car it had crappy old plugs that needed a change badly and i put in the BCPR6ES with great success then...
