  2. NOS + slicks = cheating? ha ha are you coming along too shanef?
  3. if you're shooting flames, then you probably have NO cat right now... how imoprtant is a cat? very, if you plan on keeping the $10,000 fine in your investment portfolio as long as its the same diameter as the rest of your exhaust, i don't think it matters if it says "high-fow" or not..
  4. thanks col the more that come, the better the night will be i personally will be going regardless of how many come.. so if you think you can beat me in my little rb20 auto... come and give it a shot!
  5. there's a fuel pump fuse under the dash, RHS.. check it and if there's a fuse somewhere along this aftermarker wire... check it if its all fine, i would hit your local autoelectrician for advice

  10. ..
  11. dammit i was going to organise a drag day around 17th march as posted in the members events section... oh well, will make my own thread for that night...
  12. or an alternative that's much cheaper and has the same type of tune: http://www.mercurymotorsport.com.au/produc...nedit/index.htm
  13. picsorban? EDIT: dammit Noel, beat me by a matter of seconds!
  14. maybe the AFM isn't plugged in properly? they would have taken the AFM/airbox off when doing hte plumbing probably a loose intercooler hose is a likely culprit i think too... its not hard to check to make sure as workshops are human and do make mistakes let us know how it goes cheers, Warren
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1-BOX-10PC-T20-21W-...VQQcmdZViewItem btw.. the 21W ones are T20 wedge bulbs..
  16. surely it would be cheaper to take your steering wheel to an auto trimmer and have it re-trimmed in black leather? then it looks 100% new and you can choose the colour and quality of materials...
  17. i would think its fine.. the stock auto cooler at the bottom of the radiator is usually tiny compared to any aftermarket transmission cooler i personally run my fluid through the cooler in the bottom of hte radiator then through an aftermarket cooler and then back to the trans so the 2 coolers are in series but one cooler only wouldn't be bad, just not as good. if you're really worried, get another aftermarket transmission cooler and run them both in series! cheers, Warren
  18. isn't it a resistance problem? as in with the wrong watt globes or bad earth or poor wiring, the resistnace in the whole circut is changed, thus the blinking speed changes? or so i have always been told... thus the same reason your blinking speed increases when a light is blown, because that globe that was providing x resistnace is now providing no resistnace and the whole circut is now seeign less resistnace, thus blinking speed increses my 2c
  19. mate, any day of the week the best advice you will find here is to sell it and buy a GTS-t it will be a hell of a lot easier to simply upgrade parts than have to do an entier strip and replace the inferior GTS parts eg there's no need to upgrade the standard GTSt brakes than simply putting in some good pads.. eg GTSt has LSD standard (don't think the GTS does but i could be wrong here) eg GTSt has different steering wheel and some interior pieces usually etc. etc. once you get a GTSt, then its a pretty simple method of exrtacting the required power: - full exhaust - high-flow air filter - boost controller - front-mounted intercooler (FMIC) - tuneable ECU eg powerFC and a decent tune on the dyno to monitor knock and AFRs - regular maintenance you probably won't find much advice that will tell you otherwise. i realise that sometimes its nice to stick with what you've got for the principle of the matter, but that's usually all that's holding people back from having a car that they want decent performance ability from if you're 100% dead-set keen on keeping the current GTS, it would be more fun and satisfying to either go rb26, rb30 or V8 i think personally.. 2c from me
  20. if the car has been tuned properly then adding octane booster won't do much as there should be no knock to speak of but, if its anything below 100% perfect tuning, then adding some might prevent and mild knock and might prolong your engine that little bit longer... the "its cheap insurance" line has to be true, i mean for $10-20 a bottle and the peace of mind that you probably won't have any pinging... i personally think why not?
  21. yes, but i think you also need to get the GTR indicators and GTR front bar to make it all bolt up nicely that and the fact that it looks funny being wider at the front but still skinny at the rear... but its up to you.. have you thought about just getting the guards rolled? i had mine done for $70 per corner and the paint did not crack one bit, and that's with flaring it about 1-2cm..
  22. what about stock r32 gtr fenders? try justjap.com
  23. hey mate i had mine installed by mercury motorsport. they aren't automatic specialists, just mechanics, but they did mine and it came out perfectly. plus their used nice fluid.. motul.. and.. they sent it back for me using their courier account, so came to pretty cheap compared to sending it myself with australia post
  24. time for a mechanic or autoelectrician i think...
  25. go to supercheap and get some interior cleaner for $5 and DIY failing that go to a carwash and get them to do an interior clean
