  1. if its the same as the r32 then its the ambient temp sensor for when you press AMB on the climate control display. safe to move or disconnect. you might also have to re-locate your horns. i placed mine onto the thing that holds the bonnet latch you will also have to cut your front bumper if its a standard GTST item and the bumper reinforcement bar (reo) might also get in the way depending on the intercooler style and how you choose to install it also, if you do a search for "+FMIC +install" then you will find heaps of helpful information best of luck, Warren
  2. can you take it above 2500rpm? might be worth swapping to another AFM to see if that fixes it... or if you can get your hands on nissan consult, that would solve all your problems...
  3. well i sit on the other side of hte fence motors ARE motors when it comes to servicing sure, for fitting of performance parts or for tuning you should take it to someone reputable, but for services ultratune are more than adequate. after all, they usually do hundreds more services than performance shops as they are constantly doing fleets and everyday cars for servicing. so in my opinion, put your car into ultratune for your service and save about $500 over a "performance" shop equivalent service
  4. or just get a small gauge that sits in the fuel line under the hood that's what i did - cost me $25 for hte gauge from autobarn and $10 for the fittings from enzed
  5. how about throwing your car on the dyno for an hour (about $100) and find out if you really need a new fuel pump if you're just changing it as a hit or miss to fix your stuttering problem, it would be a shame to waste money for no reason if its not the cause ofhte problem... but on the topic of fuel pumps, i personally have a walbro pump as apparently its easier to fit in the stock location. i had it fitted at the mechanic and they ordered it through their supplier. cheers, Warren
  6. 100% that its for the fog lights, the button on the RHS of the dash surround
  7. this happened to me when my pads were completely worn how are your pads?
  8. how nice and professional you are for a committee member this is the real world where people have opinions about things and are free to express them. i have PM'd col and we have exchanged our words nicely and privately and i don't care anymore. but i see that this was too hard for you to do? oh, and how do you know no one else disliked the date change? people in this world are too afraid to voice their opinions most of the time and so i leave this topic never to return all the best for the dyno day for all those that attend Warren
  9. if everyone on the list has already confirmed that they can make it on the 20th of jan, was it considered to change the venue rather than the date? its a more logical choice in my opinion... oh, and thanks for th offer of the dyno run, col, but i don't need one, i was going for the event not for the dyno number per se and i do appreciate that the was changed because of allstar, but i personally don't care about allstar, i care about the majority of hte members of SAU who have already confirmed that they can make it on the initial date
  10. poorest change ever col i will be away that weekend so am out and extremely dissappointed thumbs down to the events team
  11. you have 2 things you are probalby rubbing on first is the guard/fender second is maybe the plastic splash guard that sits under the front fender you really need to get your guards "rolled" this means they heat up the metal and roll it out further so itdoes not scrape take your car down to your closest panel beater and ask them if they do guard rolling. they will come and have a look at your wheels and tell you if they can help you or not best of luck, Warren
  12. so its not really a bang-for-buck upgrade if that's what you're asking here.. why not go some aftermarket slotted rotos if you want some increased braking performance? or a brake master cylinder stopper?
  13. oh, so before the powerFC went in... well my best hypothesis is a faulty AFM.. if you do a search for "+solder +AFM" you should see a few threads about how to fix it yourself with a $10 soldering iron and a knife
  14. you'll soon spend the same amount on worthless dyno runs if you don't go the splitfires... worth the cash in the long run if you plan to own the car for a while
  15. i have just used any old antifreeze/antiboil from supercheap for the last 4 years without 1 water leak in my opinion, as long as you get something that's got corrosion protection, antifreeze/boil, and meets australian standards then you're laughing..
  16. i have 18*8 +32 under the stock front gaurds i even had 18*9 +40 under the rears until i lowered the car, thus i rolled the rears as a precaution...
  17. i run the SK bilstein shocks with stock springs ..and boy is it different to stock! the car handles completely differently, plus i've had it setup 24mm lower than stock so it changes the look also but the best part? the ride comfort is no different to stock, because you still have the soft stock springs in there! awesome upgrade!
  18. my reasoning is... car works fine something is changed car runs like shit ...therefore, the reason the car runs like shit is directly related to what you changed have you tried putting the stock ECU back in to see how it runs? my bet is the powerFC not connected properly.. good luck Warren.
  19. how did you end up checking for vaccum leaks? my car has had a miss at idle for almost 4 years and i haven't found a fix i have always thought of an idle leak but my main suspicion right now is the alternator's ability to stabilise voltage...
  20. just for your information, gary... both times i recieved items they were sent with toll priority they actually screwed me around both times. first time i was home and they didn't ring the bell and jsut left a note. then they wouldn't deliver when i was home next so i had to go pick them up form the depot second time, i hadn't recieved anythign, so called them about the consignment number you ave me. they claimed that they came 3 times and no one was home. but, i was home each time, no doorbell was rung. no note was left. slack barstards. so again, i had to pick it up from the depot. toll priority = lazy as shit i recommend changing couriers for future deliveries in your group buys regards Warren
