  1. i bought the same gaugeand connected it as follows: both blacks to round both reds and orange to 12V (ignition) green to the OPS as the sense wire it works fine for me
  2. hey jason, check your intercooler pipes most likely a hose has come loose and the car is running mega rich because no air is getting into the engine
  3. definately not the immobiliser as its not a re-arm type thanks all for your help.. i wil lstart with the atuo sensors in the gearstick area, then work to the engine bay and get an autoelectrician if i can't work it out cheers, Warren
  4. sandwich plate can be used for any oil sensing application... i use one for my oil pressure gauge go to www.justjap.com and get a "sandwich plate" for $30 or so: http://www.justjap.com/parts_ngauges.htm (its the last one on that page) that allows you to screw the oil pressure sender onto that then, screw that in between your oil filter and block and wire it up! i have attached a picture of the sandwich plate with OPS attached when i did it on my car. hope that helps! cheers, Warren
  5. when you say 2-3,do you mean 2-3 on the stock gauge? because that is normal...
  6. usually a "sandwich plate" that jams inbetween the oil filter and block
  7. www.carmate.com.au they make some decent designed flares.. not too sure about the quality though you could always get your stock gaurds rolled?
  8. shifts are lightning - you will be impressed!
  9. that's not what they advertised in the newspaper...
  10. no, not in stage 4 restrictions its windscreens only i'm afraid...
  11. thanks mate.. i don't recall hearing a click when it happens, rather just hearing nothing at all.. i don't really get out and try anything when it happens, as i usually can just try crankingit again and it cranks fine the next time hmmm odd might get an autoelec onto it sometime in the future (getting my car lowered monday so maybe after that)
  12. so here's my issue... sometimes when i turn the key, nothing happens so i try again, and nothing eventually, it cranks as usual... other times, it cranks with no problems at all, as soon as i turn the key other thing to note is that all dash and everything electrical still works when this happens anyone have any ideas? i'm thinking electrical, maybe alternator on its way out? but i have no charging issues.. maybe a poor earth on the alternator? can someone tell me where the earth wire is on the alternator? any other help would be appreciated.. cheers, Warren
  13. have had this issue for 4 years tried changing almost every sensor on the car, and itsrunning an aftermarket fuel pump that made no difference if anyone find anything real, not just "i suspect that its my fuel pump" without any evidence, please help us all out...
  14. awesome now do a search for "+solder +afm" and you should find a thread i posted in about fixing your afm with simply a knife and a soldering iron
  15. no its just common sense.. the tension on the spring changes the angle of the arm that goes over thebolt, thus making it impossible to remove without pressing on the join of the wiper arm doing a search would have yielded about 10 threads where i have posted this exact answer
  16. yeah i go to bowen hills to wash my car nowthat we have water restrictions $27.50 gets you a wash/vaccum/interior clean $37.50 gets that plus wax, windows, etc. can't recommend them highly enough
  17. well the company who did my seat covers puts the nissan logo into their seat covers and i'm sure they haven't contacted nissan to ask them.. seriously is everyone really concerned on the legalities of this?
  18. any mechanic can put one in, its nto rocket science, just requiers a hoist and half a brain.. (ok maybe a quarter of a brain...)
  19. why not get a GTS logo or a nissan logo instead of SAU? i have a nissan logo embossed into my seat covers, and it looks much classier as it has relevance to the everyday person, not just the people who know what SAU is...
  20. that my friend is not a downgrade...
  21. if you need a 20grand loan for a car, then i'd suggest your probably not in the finantial situation to get a car with the intentions of modifying it... i know its not what you want to hear, but its the truth and needs to be said at some stage.. considered an R31? you could even wach in a VLT engine and that thing would hammer for less than 5k all up
  22. stock r32 setup is 205's on 16*6.5 wheel so you should have absolutely no problem but its in no way an "upgrade" of any kind
  23. are these different to the ones SK is organising the the group buy?
  24. that's what i did, mate i think my rears are gone also, but went and got 4 new shocks from the SK group buy and am getting them put in next week.. it also lowers the car on the standard spring, so a bonus
