  1. congrats mate.. must be a good feeling to see the car paying off for the hard work
  2. well i haven't had a respray myself, but i have been to a panel beater for rolling ofmy guards and for fixing of my dad's corvette roof... they are "exclusive auto care" in new farm / fortitude valley, just off james street (look up the yellow pages for phone number) they are the factory repairer for ferrari, maserati, and audi so only do 100% perfect work but the generally charge accordingly but you get what you pay for sometimes cheers, Warren
  3. yeah it depends on the offset i have 255s on the rear that fit, but with a +40 offset. i only had to roll the guards when i lowered it and even that was just in case
  4. looks like the end plates are around back to front first, take the end plates off so its in 3 pieces... then, attach the end plates to the strut top bolts, and you will find that you can attach the bar the right way around
  5. i snapped the rear strut bolt when tightening it after installing my rear strut brace.. so its not unheard of costly exercise to source a new strut top asap to get the car back on the road...
  6. caloundra is only 1hr from the city and is very liveable...
  7. in my opinion, the sunshine coast has nicer beaches and has more retirees, whilst the gold coast has more tourists and more cops that hate import drivers... but then again, the gold coast is closer to brisbane if you plan on living within access to the city but if you are going to live inner city, i'll still have to put my balls behind the northside
  8. www.justjap.com give them a call, overnight delivery wouldn't cost more than $20 and they probably have something in stock that what i did when i sheared a bolt off the rear strut top!
  9. northside ftw...! oh, and what about the sunshine coast? much nicer than the gold coast in my opinion...
  10. if you want a GTS badge in the GTR style (GT above with a bigger S underneath), send me a PM
  11. man is it just me or are rental properties scarse at the moment? we just moved and whilst looking for places we were looking at a unit in teneriffe and there was 21 different people at the inspection!
  12. if they were so effective, then that would mean the stock design of the ribbed rubber inlet would be terrible for power when in reality the stock ones don't really affect anything...
  13. when my turbo was fitted (by a mechanic) they tapped the line into the 'hot' intercooler hose, between the copressor outlet and the intercooler inlet.. also, no water or oil lines required modifying for it to fit..
  14. my rears were rolled and flared and no cracks at all take it to someome good and you will be fine... if you're in brisbane i can give you the name of the place that did mine, just PM me
  15. i always thought the second bar was a series 2 bumper...
  16. my favourite plates were on my dad's corvette when he bought it.. pity the guy wouldn't part with the plates with the sale.. plates were on a lowered black corvette that looks and sounds like sex, and were "CRRUPT"
  17. if you're really keen for a manifold upgrade, you might want to research up getting the stocker "extrude honed". they basically force through a gritty clay-like material through the manifold and this cleanes up the inside for more laminar flow. apparently very effective so i've been told cheers, Warren
  18. brake cleaner? you can get some specific squeal reducing stuff from supercheap.. go have a look
  19. what's the deal with people who paint their bonnet black? i assume its to replicate the look achieved when someone gets a CF bonnet... but really, it just tells everyonethat you can't afford a CF bonnet, but want to fit in so much that you paint a perfectly good panel black for no reason! i wanted to see what SAU thinks of this because it is bocoming a huge trend these days... and personally i think its completely ghey. end rant. cheers, Warren
  20. when an auto in on the dyno, its usually run in 2nd gear they put the gearstick into "2" and then ease onto the throttle at a certain rpm when the dyno operator is satisfied that the car is happy with accelerating in 2nd gear, they floor it if they floor it too early, the car will kick down into first.. this is bad other than that, looks no different to a manual car on the dyno..
  21. have you tried eBay?
  22. do you need to check it at any time other than on a dyno?
  23. is the car lowered? i'm guessing it would hit the gaurds PM salad.. he's the man with wheels on skylines
  24. i dare say it seems like it would be easier to modify the front of the gtst skirt to fit the wider guards than it would be to modify the rear gtr skirt for hte skinnier gts guards...
