its the diversity antenna. the R32 has the MAIN antenna in the rear screen. if you are using an aftermarket radio then it is not used. if you can show me the spot you are talking about I can probably tell you how to attach to it.
most of it is mirrored. find the wire at the light and track back down the drivers side MOST of the G35 stuff matches BUT NOT ALL OF IT! . REV was orange in the '05 I did a week ago.
and there lies your probelm. pioneer DOES NOT have a dedicated antenna control KENWOOD DOES! so the radio comes on antenna goes up and stays up. wnat it back the way you had it grab a KDC239 and you are done.
1: correct:
2: see previous reply. camera is switched via the AVin port - yet to suss out exactly how. originally I thought it was level switched but its not. seems to be data based. I'll prove this once my test car comes back in.
3: think laterally about it (you are in the wrong spot and have a pm )
1: mongoose do a range of them:

I use this one on V35s.
2: unsure but its NOT a TV antenna.if any thing its probably data.
3: Dont know
too hard.
easier way is to find a control module off a VP commodore and use that. jackeroo had the same module. both are height adjustable via a rocker switch. $10 from a wrecker
nope -emulate one and interface the buttons to it. . thing being it will not be a $300 exercise. for those that are SERIOUS about it expect $2-2.2K turnkey. I'm doing it simply because I want a challenge.
current one :
garmin nav with extra board integrating video & dedicated to running one button on the dash to switch it over - rest is IR controlled. OE system remains and OE computer remains.
revised version.
(still on paper)
mapping of the OE buttons to IR signal inc. joystick and integration the OE screen. no physical remote. different nav. (blau.)
if you are tech savvy have a bit of a think how I'm doing it. this one is a good 6-8 months off.
