ok - have done one with a camera. fairly straight forward . camera still functions and DVD (source) works when not in reverse. cannot remember if audio switches out with camera on. someone remap the FKN virtual buttons on these things! both of us had problems finding the AUX in on the screen. pics: DVD unit screen. DVD playing- DVD is encoded in PAL. hence colour issue. closeup of AUX in plugs distant shot of aux in plugs OE reverse camera TV box - clarion box in corner is the camera switch box - for those without cameras I believe I can still make this work so you gain a reverse camera. car in reverse looking up our horrible driveway.. there ya go- it does work. (ta WAZ!)

bin it. seriously. I have a customer with one that spent $500 on it getting it repaired only for it to fail 3 days later! the transports on them die and there are NO parts available as the company is no longer in business. if you find a BLAUPUNKT item (IE aspen or chicago) its the same unit with the same problem. I have one of those that I took out of stock for that reason alone.

so have you lost the remote control side of it or does taht still work? if so I'll send you the book (email pls) and you can rekey both remotes.

yep some one.. to be honest - pull the thing out and bin it. if ti plays DVDs it will be locked to region 1 and anything you chuck in it won't play. as for TV - not a lot you can do there. too many variables on the move. digital helps but its still patchy.

rip it out and get anohter one put in properly. to me is sounds like a loose earth but without seeing it I really couldn't tell you.

show me the remote and I'll attempt to help. if its a common one I probably have a book for it.

one interesting one I found last night: cunningham hwy inbound after redbank plains exit going up hill. there is a information sign that tells you your speed over 100kmh and tells you the demerit points you will lose and the fine... I hit it at 110kmh ..

most of the ones I know are listed. out west: cunningham hwy at redbank plains rd, between swanbank and ripley exits in median , oz fuel exit , before fuel station after amberly on the way out. north: nundah tunnel either end, sandgate rd after hamilton rd(northbound), toombul rd interchange. gympie rd kedron outisde caravan place (usually tucked BETWEEN the 4wds!) between anzac ave and boundary rd M1 burpengary. carseldine in the 80zone coming in off the freeway. theres more of them I see daily in my travels but those are teh ones I remember.

disconnect power and reconnect it. they tend to lock up.

260 and you are complaining about rattles.. you have too much time on your hands.

jvc would do it. PDR35 to be exact. may be a bit outside $250 but that will do as you want. be sure you have all the necessary bits to do the install. cables, pocket and the antenna adapter. you may have most of it already from the MD install.

there is a 5 sec time window to get into program mode. turn EVERYTHING in the car OFF before you start programming it. then start the routine. turn the key quickly when doing it and at the end you will get chirps & flashes, in the last one press button one. if the timer is connected UNPLUG IT. this will allow the alarm to arm with the timer you have in the car - IT DOES NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF IT! once you get it set up plug the timer back in start the car wait a few minutes then turn the key off, timer counts down - press and hold button 1. you will get a chirp . opening the car with the key will set the alarm off and shut the car down. if you get that result it works

outside the car. look in the rear qtr below the antenna. you will see a grommet for it.

if you do it make sure its done properly. otherwise I'll have another skyline for parts.. (yes it does expose your main power and IGN wires making the car easier to steal) since you are in brissy give me a yell. I can bury the thing - does the car have an alarm? if so then the alarm will have to be setup to work with the timer otherwise it will not arm.

button one arms / disarms. now if the red light is on it is in valet. under the dash you will see a pushbutton switch. hold that in turn the key on and release. light should go out. turn key off , remove, close car, press button should get a chirp. now if you are relying on that for security and insunace - run with your idea. for some reason hotmail does not like me.

ok bottom item is the water drain tube. that drains teh antenna so when you wash / runthe car trhrough water it doesnt stay in the motor and destroy it. antenna wwire (top) will unplug. give it a good tug and it will release. looking at that I think I can find one Identical to it in an aftermarket version. happy to try if you want to send it up to me.

did you hook up the stock antenna amp?? blk/red at hte radio plug in a 32.
