  1. Ring Micheal at GCG in sydney
  2. RH9 will be hitting the strip again soon....its full weight Rob and will smash that time you are so proud of. (sh1t stir to be taken in jest) Its now under the guidance of a new workshop....it will fulfil its so far untapped potential. Twoogle will be back very soon to....8's are the target...the fastest genuine road registered GTR in Aust.
  3. lol...as soon as i read that he called you 'Tony' i thought...he's not gonna like that...hehe
  4. Id have your cars JDM look over the examples given in this whole thread
  5. PM me your engine details and what you will be using it for (include turbo details and rpm limit)...what parts you already have...and what other parts you need...ill get Terry to price it up for you.
  6. UPDATE: on the Tomei's they were that far out the balance pads on 4 of the pistons had to be completely removed and the pins had to be slighty countersunk to get the weights right...shocking!
  7. J'z R33 just took delivery of one of our stage 2 items...he was stunned at the quality of workmanship. Our street stage 2 head is so good Jim Souvas at Croydon didnt want to touch it when i was going to a full race head as it worked so well...he requested i buy another bare head to race port instead. Im so lucky to have a guy like Terry doing all the "white mans magic" on our heads...as its a dark art that i don't have a clue on. Our turnaround on a head alone is a couple of weeks...not months.
  8. did you take the sump off and clean it out? The ball bearings in the core assembly fall down the drain tube upon bearing failure and end up in the sump. These balls are small enough to pass through the oil pick-up gauze and end up making a mess of the oil pump (shattering the gears into several pieces).
  9. They are actually 1200PS....using a 108mm compressor...im running a modified HKS T51R SPL BB with this same compressor wheel. But sticking with the smaller turbine of the T51R compared to the T62R to possibly retain some sort of midrange...lol. Should be good for a genuine 900hp at the tyres without the spray.
  10. Doing a Tomei 2.8 kit at the moment...the pistons were quite a bit out of balance compared to the latest design CP's i have used in the last few engines ive done including NYTSKY's. Bang for buck (to steal Dave's quote) id use CP's or ARIES
  11. Yes that turbo would almost weigh 1/2 your body weight Steve
  12. yeah a couple of years ago that would have won you "Power Champion" at Autosalon Final Battle. Power levels have gone through the roof...mostly thanks to the Supra brigade and turbo's that would look more at home powering ships!
  13. x2...those sort of comments don't have any place on this forum cbtil
  14. Hey ill build whatever...it dont worry me none...if he wants a Holden 149 in it ill build him that
  15. love the bowser pic with the car through the hole...top stuff
  16. as long as they have enough cash left to settle my redundancy....ill be pouring the beers ibtl
  17. Hey for all the DiRT haters...here's a few home truths. Ive got nothing against Trent and his workshop...Ive actually been talking to him via PM to obtain parts for his business he's having trouble getting access to. I was the only one with enough intelligence to pick up a glaring annomily in the spec's and results after 3 pages of back slapping. Unfortunately i didn't have enough intelligence to keep it to myself, have a little giggle and move on. I was not the one to post the quote above about Autosalon...It was actually Trent. Everyone was comparing this result against regular dyno results obtained from a Mainline unit and/or a DD unit in shootout mode. Ive spent time with Andre Simon at his Wellington business (he tunes the Heat Treatments GTR) and he assures me they read more like engine horsepower not wheel horsepower. Contrary to popular belief i don't own or run a workshop...i build engines as a sideline venture and charge sometimes up to 1/2 the cost of other workshops. It allows me a little extra cash to keep "twoogle" racing...nothing more, the car would still be up for sale if this wasn't the case. I am actually an electrical engineer by day employed by one of Australia's largest and most profitable companies, but have been building engines and cars for the last 18 years. If a supplier gave you false advertising information about products or services they supply (whether it be intentional or not) would you not be upset you were convinced by it? Their is nothing ive said in this thread that in anyway breaks this forum's rules. Im not trying to bring anyone down here but the head in the sand additude of some people is a little offputting. What would the world be like if the status quo was never questioned?? Thanks for your time Paul
  18. DO NOT put Loctite or any other anerobic compound on them. ARP moly lube only please.
  19. Award does an awesome job...but if i lived in Vic. id take it to Racepace
  20. Andrew was asked in for an interview for one of the host positions...he knocked it back.
  21. couldn't have put it better myself Jack. Ive never heard Jim Souvas, Joe Signorelli or Mark Jacobsen say that they have to tune to the ramp rate for Autosalon..."what a load of crap"...is an excellent choice of words...well done. it made almost 50kw less than my pissy little low mounts that "wasnt tuned to suit the ramp rate"
  22. hehe... Hey i call it like it is...it upsets people and rubs them up the wrong way on occasions but thats their problem. He had his chance to prove all the naysayers wrong...and with all eyes on him he was foolish to not ensure the car was up to it. I may have been too generous with my 800hp prediction.
  23. EPIC FAIL these were the only words required. I knew the car wouldn't run the numbers in real world testing under competition conditions.
