  1. Stickers really polarise people... Sure, you can have the shell for 15k and it comes with free running gear
  2. Picked up those wheels, gave them a wash, and did a quick test fit. The rim clears nicely, but I'm still a bit concerned about tyre clearance, but won't know til I get the 255s as they currently have hektik drift spec 225s stretched on *yuck*. I don't love the look as the 25 offset means there's basically no dish, but I cant be picky for the price and in 4 stud. Lack of dish means I'm hopeful that I can get away with a guard roll and not have the extra expense/work of flares. Is that too much of a roll, especially up front? That's measures between 15-18mm or so - a bit less up back. Also noticed that the front is now wider than the rear due to the even offset and 15mm spacers, but I need those to clear the shocks with camber. I can't run a rear spacer without running extended wheel studs so I'll just see how it looks once it's all done. Might chuck the Rays decals on them for extra rice and to break up the black. Should look better with 255s on. Gave the car a wash and put it back in the shed, removed front splitter to improve bracing.
  3. All good. You should have seen the look on my mates face when I introduced him to after he told me he was having trouble with his 1000 dollar race logic box (or whatever they are called). Now I will not be able to hide how shit my driving is...
  4. Already had a bluetooth GPS and have been using RC so it has all my session data. Recording is as simple as hitting start session on RaceChrono, it starts and stops the camera and syncs it all automatically with the newer GoPros. I'm not about to sell the GoPro my missus just bought me for my Bday.. "yeah thanks babe, but nah this is shit, sold it"
  5. Got a GoPro for my Bday, so bought RaceChrono pro so I can do video capture with data overlay. Bought a square set of 17x9, lets hope they fit, wheel calcs say yes, but hard to determine with the tyre on. Can sell if need be, collect those tonight. Will need to buy some 255s now. Car is on ramps ready for splitter removal to brace it more and improve mounts. Next event is early August but it's a track I dislike so will skip that and tinker away on a few projects.
  6. Seems to work pretty well for a street registered H pattern car
  7. Sorry missed that. Maybe someone else can comment, is a 2.8 and Cams enough to get that number? I'm assuming they're Type B's so around 264 duration. 19psi is not a lot of airflow from N1s. Must be nice to drive
  8. 390rwkw on N1s? Even with a 2.8 and Cams that seems very high for those turbos?
  9. A few watermarked photos from the weekend.
  10. I'd like to make a V2 that's lighter or I did consider running a drill through them to take core sections out but was worried about them cracking and splitting. I am not a great builder/fabricator and have limited power tools so this was "easy" for me to do. I've seen layers of ply screwerd together and then cut at one angle so there's no "steps" like mine. Would could be a better idea?
  11. Bunning finest... And do the feel bad, I didn't add handles til I realised how dumb it was to have forgotten them
  12. Doesn't everybody It's OK SAU, I can say that because I have one..
  13. Oh no no, I get that point and now I'm not comparing my Silvia to something like the Red Evo in terms of performance. No doubt Evo will be a beast/much faster. My point was that with what I have right now being worth 5k (and being a basic bolt on car, stock box, basic brakes, cheap coilovers, and diff, $100 turbo etc) The Evo 7 with r comps, cage, exhaust and who knows what else, wasn't even 1 second faster. Though it would cost me easy 10k on top of what I have right now to buy it. That was an M class car, so minimum R comps. There's minimal value in me trading up in terms of lap times vs costs. Can throw some r comps on this, get it up to 200rwkw, and have a blast for SFA $$. I do love that you consider my Silvia "worked" It's a f**king monster.
  14. Cool, so I can spend 15k on a Stock 7 with a cage, and go about the same speed? Sounds sick Makes a lot of sense if I wanted an awesome daily/track hybrid, but when I have a car already (worth nothing re-sale wise) might as well stick with that if it's already as quick as a stock Evo for far less dollarydoos. Gotta save my pennies because GT-R ownership is expensive
  15. Make it 10k then, not getting into a decent 7,8,9 for less than 15. Can't see 10k in additional lap time really. Plus this thing is just too fun to drive and there are more people that need to learn about CA greatness. (Bet it spins a bloody bearing on the next outing now lol) Also, that Red one was 25k more...
  16. You know I've been looking around so I take interest in the Evo stuff around me. If an Evo 7 in M class is less than a second ahead(I highly doubt he has less than 180rwkw either), I can't see big value in spending 10-15k on top of my Silvia sale to buy one... I will go 1s faster just by not using shagged tyres, Just gonna keep smashing this CA around, seems quick enough for Club level shenanigans. The "issue" will be that I'd like to do a Clubsprint WTAC event, but those cars are next level. Not willing to sell GT-R yet, so I will just sit on everything I have for now. Plus I am working on a game changing project on the side that will shave off BULK time. Like maybe a tenth lol
  17. Yeah there are, the 3 that were there are all AWD though. The red one is a 1.8L Turbo.
  18. The Evo 7 that was there did 58.1, so I got chopped by an Evo in the end That was an M class car though (proper Semi's or actual Semi's).
  19. Checked Natsoft, was actually over 1s between me and Lancer. Super chopped.
  20. My car has a splitter on it and removing and re-attaching is a pain, I made 2 stage ramps with some handles from pine sleepers. They just sit on the trailer behind/in front of the car and are held on with tie downs. Ghetto as but works and was cheap. I could only find these 2 photos quickly and added one of the Silvia to show the splitter height. GTR clears it too. The length was determined by how long needed to hit wheel before splitter edge hits timber. I also have some of those little plastic Cusco ones that allow you to get just enough height to get a jack under it which is enough for people.
  21. Original setup made 354rwk @ 24-25psi. Haltech Platinum Pro N1 manifolds -9s HPI dumps and 3" front pipes Full 3.5" exhaust after merge, catless Big K&N pods in partial enclosure. E85 with 1000cc Injectors and 460lph walbro. Cam gears, Twin turbo pipe mod Plazmaman 76mm Intercooler Added/changed. BC Springs Kelford L182A Cams Delete pressure valve in fuel line in tank. Aeroflow fuel filter. Rewired fuel pump with higher gauge wire after realising the current wiring was 15amp max and the pump can draw into the mid 20s. Fuel mods done as fuel pressure couldn't keep up. Now peaks at 23-24psi but tapers off to 21ish. I think these turbos are out of puff now, but not a bad result for -9s. Pretty happy given the bay looks fairly low key.
  22. Big day yesterday, lots of laughs and heaps of fun. Day started out wet and the first session was very ginger, car felt not too bad in the front end and I went faster than a few of my mates in higher powered cars Can see how hard it was to put power down towards the end of this clip. Ran 8-9s slower than PB lol Got faster as the day dried out and was convinced the car felt like it had better front grip with the softer front swaybar and maintaining 28psi hot on the tyres. Got a bit carried away in the 3rd session and cooked the tyres then fluffed the entry to a corner and decided to just go with it. More lols. White balance did some weird shit in this clip as the sun was coming out and going away. Might be time for new camera, this one has been dropped a lot... Kept adjusting damper settings and maanaged to shave .7s off my previous PB and run my first 58 with a 58.8 and a class win by 2 hundredths vs a GSR Lancer. Are all GSR AWD? He had better tyres but no idea on power. Car had no knock but was a little rich and a bit doughy off boost, still work to do there. Catch can version eleventy got one more mod and worked well. I disconnected the moroso crankcase evac valve and vented the sump catch can to atmo, instantly no more oil in catch can. Will tidy it all up and leave it atmo and delete that one way valve, has not solved a single issue in the end, not sure why the V8 guys rave about them so much as I confirmed with Moroso my setup was correct for a turbo car. Splitter V2 held on OK but needs a little more bracing and some improved mounting points on the car to reduce flex. From here, car will probably sit for a bit as we come into wetter weather. Will tidy up breather system, was looking at Cams/Turbo, might be time to go 17x9 all round and get some 255s on it. The club guys are getting 18x10 slicks for $50 a pop but getting a 10" wide on the Silvia front end is a big ask. I might just stick with the RS-RR and stay in my class, but either way I am going to have to buy rims. Pics of team Nissan at the start of the day. GT-R won his class (and got chopped by me in the wet and overall :D) V8 Skyline next to him almost matched his PB and finished just outside the top 10, did me in by .5s and managed to kiss a tyre wall, cleaner 33 on the end with semi's got into the 56s with a PB and finished 5th outright for the day. I finished 16th overall in a field of 60 cars and outright fastest CA18
  23. I like seeing people push the boundaries/testing bits and pieces. It's how we learn.
