    This is a running joke with my mates actually, that I'm a drifter. I hate flat brim caps, not a fan of drifting/drifters and at the last event I did a little slide and managed to not f**k it up so now I'm a drifter apparently lol The drifting community, the bad elements, ruined a lot of what was good about the JDM "scene" if you want to call it that. Also gutted the prices for cars/parts (good and bad depending if you're buying/selling) and was far too representative of the dumbass yolo concept. I've found some of them are OK, and funnily enough the ones that are usually grip drive also. I do love me some rice, but I'm fairly anti drift/drifters. It's the only "motorsport" that's judged by anything other than measurable numbers. I fully admit there's lots of skill in doing it well and that I do not have, nor will ever have, nor want, that skill, but I can appreciate it when I see it.

    Looked at some pics over the weekend and think I prefer to look of rolled/flared guards vs bolt on flares. Spoke to panel beater and he said we can easily pull/flare enough to get the coverage but expect the paint to crack, as Hadouken said. Given I wouldn't mind painting it later anyway and the rest of the car is already covered in blemishes, I will probs go that way.

    Just a lazy 5600+rwkw! What turbo did you end up with? Must be insane to drive Looking mad is worth heaps more dude I just dont want massive flares on wheels that only just sit outside the guards, will look homo. Yeah I'm only running 9" and 255. I kind just need a 20mm flare which is hard to find as that's usually bolt on overfender territory which i don't like.

    Yeah it's not quite as bad as I thought. I'm flat out with work and home stuff but I'll try and line up my panel beater to come take a look and see if a guard flare will be enough. I can get a guard roller easily. A small bolt on flares could be easier, and maybe look cool? I can only find big bolt ons, like 40mm.

    So, car looks fat now, I love it. I put a vote to my mates and the consensus seems to be centre caps yes, stickers no, which I'm inclined to agree with, though there is something I like about no caps. Guard flaring required looks less dramatic when i put the rim back to -3.5 camber, but I still want clearance to be able to lower the camber for tuning purposes. That will be the next step. Inner clearance is less than a finger width, but I can't see the tyre moving around that much? Inner guard plastics are going to get gobbled up a little and the passenger side has my BOV and a vac hose that's at risk, I might have to drop a little castor out.

    Have had a shitful cold all last week and given what's on my agenda this week, I spent most of the weekend specifically dedicated to trying to kick it. Didn't get a heap done on the car but did manage to get the splitter to a point where I'm happy. Ran some M8 all thread down through the inner guards and lined up with the existing holes in the bottom of the guards and into the splitter. Seems a lot firmer now. Added some little gurney flaps on each side, see if that helps at all. I'll try and get stuck into the wheels a bit more this week.

    Cheers. My only concern was that I sit fairly upright so wanted to get the right angle.
